it's biggest strengths are it's audio capabilities, it's ability to mix resolutions and formats on a project, and it's use of multiple processors for rendering.

just one more thing though you will have to go to newegg and put together a new computer with lots of hard drive space and a quad processor with a good video card or you are in for a lot frustration.

used adobe premiere elements 3 til 4 came out and fudged on amd processors, alleged direct uploading to utube and what to me was a dumbing down of the tool itself along with an $80 upgrade cost.
