Best Design and Multimedia Software for Acrobat

i don't need the overpriced adobe acrobat.

in many ways this program is superior to adobe acrobat.

does everything that acrobat 6.0 did for me,

but after i tried 30 days trial version of acrobat pro 9, i choose acrobat pro 9 although it's 150 bucks more.

to avoid compatibility problems, i removed the trials (i didn't have the beta) i had been evaluating, acrobat reader, flash player, and studio 8.

i did take k nish's recommended precautions and unloaded acrobat reader and flash player.

especially acrobat on a mac - perhaps i am just not a pdf power user since just using mac's built in pdf creation ability works just fine for me.

photoshop and acrobat are the big titles from adobe on this suite.
