other reviewers have complained about the setup process, nevertheless, if you follow the steps carefully, (do not connect device before loading software.) it is a flawless synchronization.
wireless syncing was easy to setup and use but i seriously doubt i will ever use it.
i should say that one of the reasons that it's so enjoyable is that we also got a home dock and a car setup, it would still be fun with just the machine but of course, not so versitile.
first up is the installation of the software: i went to the website that it told me to and the download was right there.
most of my music is just stored in folders by album, how much formatting will i have to do once i pull it over to the zune?
be prepared for a long installation, and one you might have to re-do a couple times.
instead of calling tech support, i went to adobe's knowledge base on their website and fortunately, the solution to my installation problem was right there and it worked.
the only problem i have had is the installation of illustrator - it fails to install successfully.
though i realize that the installer may leave something to be desired for some, i'm not sure i'd wait to upgrade to the web suite.
i recently upgraded to cs3 web premium on a winxp machine with studio mx 2004 installed and separate photoshop cs2 and illustrator cs2 installations.
i did encounter a conflict with microsoft after installation that took some time to figure out - both on vista and xp.
we did discover that the installation of the dvd did not work properly and that the hacks published on adobe's website did not apply to us.
had adobe adopted a "drawer" style palette setup like indesign cs2 used, it would have been much more useful, i ended up just using the "legacy" setting that makes the palettes work like they did in

this guitarport-rifftracker setup is a really elegant piece of work.
as other have stated, the installation process is not exactly clear - in my setup, i run the speakers from the guitarport rather than the computer itself.
pros: simple setup and well written software cons: not a serious recording tool.
the software installation was fast, no hiccups.
the studio 11 plus package comes with an installation dvd, a bonus dvd and a 300-page printed user guide.
great setup.
also the installation time is quicker too.
first contact with the application is actually pretty good: decent installation and launch time.
negative points first, unfortunately...the product didn't come with an installation cd as the package stated.
some people have said that it leave circle lines on the disc (due to a clogged cartridge), but if you go to print setup and clean the cartridge it will not.
in an hour i got it unpacked, setup with the ink cartridge and installed the software and printer, designed a disk with full color image in the background and a photo of my grandson, outlined text
the setup was very quick and easy and i was up and running in about 10 minutes.
setup is easy, the printer's physical footprint is very small, and print times are outstanding even at highest quality.

the second nice thing is that it doesn't leave all kinds of setup files and folders for each project.
the installation was smooth and all functions are working without any lock ups.
and finally, the initial installation itself was made extremely difficult by sony's registration and validation process.
i had absolutely no problems with installation or setup, it was up and running in less than 20 minutes.
installation was quite straightforward and i didn't experience any difficulty.
