i use sony vegas pro 8 for my amateur filming editing.
although i'm somewhat of a newbie to video (i previously owned premiere elements 3 & 4), my experience with vegas pro 8 has been that it is very stable for a relatively complex program (certainly
:) other thoughts: i like to think that i'm a pretty experience editor for being an amateur, but i'm sure even a beginner in this field could pick up vegas and feel comfortable about using it.
with all these apps there is a learning curve, and adobe's premiere elements and sony vegas movie studio are probably more appropriate for someone who will only use it to edit baby's first steps,
it enabled me to edit my first hd movie and make a nice video the first time.
very good product.i think it is smaller version of professional software and from first time might take some time to figure out how to use it - but once that is done it is the best i found so far
obviously i have not learned everything this product has to offer, nor do i use very well what i have already discovered, but it was easy to get results that, for a rank beginner, actually look sort
it's simple enough for the amateur to get started but has enough additional features to help you make professional looking videos.
i'm a novice to movie editing, and have very little experience with this program, but so far it has worked well.
it is an excellent tool for amateurs and yet professionals.
i've had this version of photoshop now for a little over two weeks and am just beginning to really get into it.

i am a newbie to photoshop and will be learning more since i have a million photos to process.
for the first time, the browser was actually usable and there a number of other upgrades.
though i've odered many times with amazon, this is the first time i have been excited enough to review a product!
i give it a 5 star for the beginner, cause this thing is packed with some really beneficial stuff for you all to learn.
i began with emedia's beginner cd-rom and next moved to the rock guitar.
he is a beginner and has been glued to his electric guitar and emedia rock guitar method for the last two weeks.
i have tried reading at least ten books on beginning guitar and always stumble because i don't know how things are supposed to sound or the tempo.
you can change the speed of the clip overall, but you can't vary it from the beginning of the clip to the end.
i was a bit intimidated at first, because it is more sophisticated than pinnacle, but i knew that i would eventually reap the rewards if i forced myself to tackle the learning curve.
the interface is very simple, practically no learning curve.
starting my first time on sony vegas i found doing the simplest things was pretty easy to do.
i am only a novice at video editing but the stuff i've been able to do with this program is amazing.
editing any photo, plus it lets you use the plug ins available for the bigger version all in all i highly reccomend this product to anyone who is new to photediting, and the novice photographer.
not only does the interface deliver (very similar to the professional tools i remember) but adobe has upped the ante by giving the novice user adequate room to grow.
(or it may appear as so)because it has increduble amount of tools for fixing and editing any photo, plus it lets you use the plug ins available for the bigger version all in all i highly reccomend
for the amateur, elements is an excellent, if not superb, photo editor.
it comes loaded with music, but you can not play anything untill you hook it of the first time.
it is easy to operate and get started using- that is after you spend an eternity charging it for the first time.
when the software was originally loaded and run the first time it synced with my itunes collection, automatically bringing in all music not protected by drm.
doing this before you sync the first time is my recommendation, it alleviates a lot of frustrations in the future.
it wouldn't be the first time they took a good idea and made it their own.
for an amateur in web design, dreamweaver 8 helped me along without having to learn all the numerous coding that goes into creating a webpage.
if you are familiar with web design, the learning curve is very nice.
i'm an amateur at website design/building, so understand that i'm not very "deep" in dreamweaver's abilities.
easy to use, with more tools to make your web pages look great, even for a beginner.
summary: sony acid music studio 7 is the perfect tool for beginners as well as advanced users to create original song by composing, mixing and mastering.
i am a novice and this product has put a studio at my fingertips.
there is a bit of a learning curve, but this program works in a similar manner to any other creative computer program.
beginners will be pleased to know that this software comes with a ton of pre-composed music files to get you started and give you some good practice.
in the beginning it can be frustrating; it isn't very intuitive and the tutorial is sub-par, but, with some picking & poking, you will understand the basics in no time.
summary: i've had this program for less than a year and it was my first time ever using it.
it makes weaving web pages easy but not too easy, there is a challenge and a learning curve.
the first time i launched it, it looked very bizarre and perplexing.
recommend purchasing a book to get you up and running and to help you use this program especially if you are a first time user.
not for beginners or the faint of heart, dreamweaver's present incarnation is still the best thing on the market today.
i sure recommend this product, especially for pros because it is not very easy to use for beginners...
i've been using it for a while and still basically a novice, so that should give you an idea of how powerful it is.
it's only downside is that it may seem a bit daunting to the beginning user.
it has worked well for me, being a first-time user.
it is a new learning curve but well worth it.
easy to use for the beginner and full featured enough for the professional.
the user interface has been much improved over the years and i believe a novice should be able to teach himself the basics of this programme by just playing around.
so even if, (especially if,) you're a novice of any of those professions, let adobe photoshop give you the edge so that you can take your rightful place amongst the other pros in your field.
recommend for anyone from novice to pro.photoshop cs3 for windows and macintosh (visual quickstart guide)
there is a slight learning curve as you learn what the software "wants" you to do, but once you get it, it's so superior to pencil & paper!
finale printmusic is a useful, pratic software...first time i had a trouble during scaning, but now is ok!
i had read several reviews and wanted something simple and bug-free enough for my daughter to use without a tremendous learning curve.
the templates are another great addition for the beginner as it had all the structure set up and all i had to do was eneter in the content.
it's for the newbie that is looking to create their very first website.
what i know - as a person about to embark on the dreamweaver learning curve - is this, for under $50- web easy is a terrific value.
the learning curve is easy.
i am not a novice.
the program also comes with a beginners guide to help you get started.
even a novice could create professional works with this program.
it is so easy to just create music and not worry about navigating menus and a complex software learning curve.
so i had to struggle with it a little bit in the beginning, but overall, nothing was too difficult in getting it set up and configured.
i have struggled with recording guitar with daws since the beginning.
however, if you are considering using photoshop for the first time, and you can get past the high price, and you have some time to invest in learning it, and a lot of time to invest using it...it's
this is not recommended for a novice user.but if your a pro photographer better for you.

this is an excellent program & i highly recommend it.the learning curve is very easy to understand.
new users should find it intuitive and the clean workspace should ease the learning curve.
even if you are a beginner, you will soon grow into it and will want those features eventually.
you can manually set the chapters or let the program insert the chapter mark at the beginning of each video clip.
