The pre-created templates are predominantly ugly and unappealing.
Creating one of your own is easy enough, but in saving item, I was very disappointed that the page couldn't be saved as a jpg or other photo format. Only being able to save in scrapbooking format or pdf is a very poor design idea.

Some of the reviews I've read said that this is just like Printmaster software. I've been using an old Printmaster Gold for years, and it's still my favorite graphics software. But Creative Scrapbooking is so much more, and so fun just to check out the ready-made pages for inspiration, if nothing else.

I use Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe 2.0 (which I love) as well HP Creating Keepsakes software (not very intuitive-- beautiful, but requires more creativity & designing on the user's part). This Broderbund software is a good complement to what I already own.

I can't believe this program. I bought it last year and I have over 300 scrapbook pages completed. I have four children 7,5,2, and 4 months old.

While I admit some of the problems people have mentioned (cutesy art, not installing 2nd CD, proprietary artwork, inserting new pages, can't copy and paste from a different program, and can open only one page at a time, THIS PROGRAM IS SIMPLY AMAZING!!!
The scrapbook pages I create are mainly MY photographs with the other nonphoto capabilities of SFD 2.0 (squares/rectangles as picture mats, text boxes, custom shapes, borders, lines, etc.). Rarely do I even think about using "clipart" in my pages.

It's okay and the interface is nice, but with the images on the box one would think they were getting elegant images for scrapbook pages, NOT, I hate cutsey and most of it is just that! Not what I want and since there is a 90 day money back guarantee, guess what?

Not only is this time consuming, but really a pain in the butt. And, of these 500+ fonts, most of them are just variations of a traditional one, that you would be able to get yourself by simply using the bold or italic options. There were NO original or unique fonts, only a handful of script ones, and NONE that I would want to use on my style of scrapbook pages. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this product and only wish that I was able to read this kind of review before wasting my money on a product I will probably never use.

It is better than Microsoft Word! I can do anything with this software. I just got it and I have already created a ton of adorable scrapbook pages. It is so user friendly and really lets you do anything you want.

I've used many graphics, CAD drafting and photo editing programs. So I was a little apprehensive that this scrapbook, which I bought to make a presentation of wedding pictures for faraway relatives, wouldn't be up to expectations. I was especially doubtful on account of the comment an Amazon review that the clip art is "cartoonish."
