I have the trial version of Nitro 6, which is supposed to give all the advantages, including support, of the full version for 14 days. I want it mainly for form-filling, since Nuance's PDF professional, which was once an excellent program, has turned to junk. from Amazon.com The program is polished and performs remarkable well with one MAJOR exception. My primary use of the product is to scan documents for archival and being able to search your archived files is pretty important. Unfortunately this product has not capability of creating searchable or indexed PDF files. from Amazon.com Just to clarify (as the distributor has not updated the system requirements on this page) but a 64-bit version is now available. This is not included on the CD when you purchase the product, but a free update to Nitro Pro 5.5 can be obtained from http://www.nitropdf.com/downloads/ and you can use the serial number that ships with the 32bit version sold here. I needed something that would let me create PDf files, as well as make page content changes every now and then ...... in the end I chose Nitro PDF Professional after downloading a demo. We immediately experienced an error message in Word and Excel. Then we noticed if the computer was left on for about an hour and Word or Excel was up, the computer would go into SAFE mode on its own. We sent an email to tech support for 4 days in a row without any response. from Amazon.com overall though, very easy to use and a nice product for the price point. from Amazon.com i haven't used it extensively for marking up or changing pdfs, but my simple playing with the tool seems to show that editing pdfs is easy too. from Amazon.com
