Best Dehumidifiers for Large Areas

i'm glad i purchased the larger unit as i think it was needed.

i ended up locating it in a larger, more remote area of my home and it's doing a great job.

wish the pan were a little larger, but it works fine.

the last dehumidifier we used (a kenmore, admittedly much larger) was so loud we had to turn it completely off to hear the television.

i am using it in a room far larger than recommended but it still does the job - just have to keep emptying it everyday.

it has been keeping my basement at about 49-50 % rh the same as the larger 50 and 65 pint models were without it sounding like a truck idling in my basement.

although it's small it performs as well as the larger, very loud, costly, hot units.

after a less than satisfactory experience with the soleus 25 pint dehumidifier (no customer service, basically) i returned it and bought this slightly larger frigidaire unit.

it may be larger than necessary but my logic is that it will last longer with better results and be less expensive in the long term.
