Purchased after much rain and water in my basement in over 30 years. Couldn't find one in my area so I turned to internet, looked for recommendations/reviews and went with the Haier. Did not want a large-capacity unit since this is not a chronic problem and am able to monitor, although stops when filled to capacity. from Compactappliance.com i'd been researching dehumidifiers all over the web and finally chose this one, hoping it would be quiet and would remove some dampness from our rec room. from Target.com it is quiet, and efficient. from Compactappliance.com purchased after much rain and water in my basement in over 30 years. from Compactappliance.com a full tank is easy enough to handle to carry out and empty (45 pint size would be challenging, i think). from Target.com this machine is quite the little workhorse; i am impressed. from Compactappliance.com did not give 5 stars only because this unit isn't whisper quiet. from Target.com i can't speak for the energy efficiency of the unit (though it seems to be rated well), but overall it does the job, and i am pleased with the product. from Amazon.com the unit has a small footprint, takes up about the same space as a paper shredder. from Amazon.com love this little wonder. from Amazon.com
