to register as being "ready to cook" by the indicator light, i then dropped in the first batch of (battered) raw chicken and twenty minutes later, out came some very nice, golden brown fried chicken.

- it might be fine for fries and such but if you put a batter-dipped item in it, it sticks to the wire basket, and you have to scrape it off with a knife after each batch.
