Best Deep Fryers for Reservoir

sure enough, after the fryer cooled and the oil emptied into the reservoir there was oil all over the counter.

after you use it, the oil by itself gets filtered into a removable reservoir, ready to be used again.

i never figured out the reservoir feature, maybe that would fix the little bit of mess (i'm not complaining - just my wife who does the cleaning and groans everytime i get this out of the basement!).

the instructions were very vague, & somehow the still too hot oil filtered into the plastic reservoir, with much of the oil spilling all over my counters.

other thoughts: i made sure the top of the oil reservoir was closed tight and the cap tightened down before i used the filter feature.

either it leaked out of the top of the oil reservoir because its top didn't seal or it leaked as it was filtering from the fry chamber.

first use it fried fine then when it came time to drain it, half went the reservoir, the rest went all over the counter.
