This deep fryer is a breeze to clean with the removable bowl. It always stays very cool to the touch, which was a huge plus with my three year old. Also, I like how the basket raises before you open the lid to prevent any splatters. from Target.com Please understand that the people behind America's Test Kitchen and Cook's Illustrated are the best at this business. I've followed them for years. I can only assume Rival suffers from inconsistancy in product manufacturing because my unit is awful. I will be taking this back and ordering something different from Amazon. from Amazon.com Rival always produces good products, and this fryer is no exception. Its large capacity lets you really cook for a family, unlike the Fry Daddies, etc. from Amazon.com i had a little difficult time at first trying to figure out the controls and the timer, but once you figure it out you will see how super easy the fryer is. from Target.com i just recieved this as a wedding present and i can say that it is better then i thought it would be..the clean up is so easy since the bowl is removable, and cooking time is incredibly fast! from Target.com the only negative i could find was it could heat up faster, but it doesn't take 30 minutes. from Target.com this deep fryer is a breeze to clean with the removable bowl. from Target.com uses less oil with it's size and heats fast and cleanup easy. from Amazon.com the only complaint i have is when i fry chicken, i'm not sure if it's because i'm leaving the lid on or not but it not that crispy, my husband says its because you don't fry chicken with a lid. from Target.com pros: easy to use, convenient from Shopping.com
