Best Crock Pots and Slow Cookers for Rib

we made ribs in it first, which came out wonderful, tender and juicy, then we made a big pot of chili, which turned out perfect.

we give this item 5 stars and wish only that this product was available in a 18 to 22 quart size to accomodate large turkeys, hams and prime ribs/roasts.

that being said, this cooks a huge amount of food (did ribs for 6 people the other day) and does it perfectly.

since that time, i use it at least twice a month and, over the summer, made barbeque ribs in it twice.

besides using it to make pot roast, spare ribs, and more, i regulary use it to bake potatoes [clean and puncture potatoes, add about half cup of water and turn on high.

yesterday and today i cooked a slab of ribs and then sweet-and-sour chicken in the cooker and the unit was plenty big and also cooked the items to perfection in *exactly* the times listed in the

i just love the features on this model, these in particular -- the oblong shape allows for ribs, roasts, etc.

also, with its rectangular shape instead of oval, foods like ribs fit better.

i recently used this slow cooker for the first time to make ribs.

the minor issue is that we were accoustomed to the newer oval bowl shapes that allowed an easy fit for a brisket or a rack of ribs--without cutting up.

1) the 6 1/2 quart is big enough to put in both beef and pork ribs for slow cooked "in a pinch" pulled pork, carnitas and ribs.

about the unit itself; i've made two items; a brisket using the thermal probe and the other, german short ribs experimenting with 'programming'.
