it is perfect to clean the sturdy ceramic (or ceramic-like) removable base and the glass cover is great too.
has a glass cover, steel on the outside great for cleaning.
one is that the cover is not very fit to the container.
it is a nice attractive cooker.it seems to work quite well, but the cover knob is irritating.i like the 4quart size.
i cannot tell you many times i have used the bonus tote and cover that came with this cooker.
leftovers can be saved in the pan (the plastic cover is a nice touch) and reheated right on the stove, which is very convenient.
the glass cover can be used for a serving dish and cleanup of everything is a snap.
try pork chops covered in apple juice, cook on low all night it's so delicious and tender!
it comes with a plastic insulating cover and a rubber band to hold the top on while it is being transported.
pro: cooks well, looks great, crock very easy to clean, glass cover, keep warm setting.
finally i loved how the cover stays clipped on.
this slow-cooker came with a serving spoon that attaches to the lid, locking sides so there is no spillage when it is being transported and a nice cover.
i even got a cover for it that was not in the ad.
size is just right when we have company or when asked to bring a covered dish to a function.
cons: the smell that comes off the rubber around the cover.
i cook soup or stew nightly in it, just put on the plastic cover in put in the refrig, it really works very well, very happy i bought it.
i like this unit and would suggest it to anyone, there are two points to cover first the glass cooking crock does not have any tabs or handles to hold onto while lifting the hot-full of food out to
ordered online and received defective (4 areas where glaze did not cover over scratches inside crock).
i would have preferred the handle to be wrapped in a silicone covering so as not to have to use a potholder.
but, the cooker works fine, even when covered w/ aluminum foil in place of the included glass lid.
disappointing with all clad was the lid cover.
it cannot cover the crock properly so there is are huge gaps on both sides when the crock is covered.
cover does not fit properly, gaps occur.
the cover and crock itself are both designed to work great together.
i have actually taken it to a covered dish/potluck function for 35; yes, it was heavy, but it worked and got the job done for a large group luncheon.
ka not thrilled but it was covered under the warranty (for pete's sake, it was the first use!!).
