i've only had it for a couple of months, so no comments on durability. from Amazon.com i was pretty happy with it, the lock things can get in the way but overall it worked well until one day the insert cracked all across the bottom and roast drippings seeped out. from Amazon.com i got a nice-sized roast in the little thing. from Amazon.com After looking at different brands and sizes of slow cooker, this is the one I decided on. Since it's been a few months now I'm stuck with it and had to buy another crock pot. from Amazon.com NOTES: First, the "locking handles for easy transport": the locks are on the body of the slow cooker, so you can't take out the porcelain insert and lock the lid onto it; if you want it locked, you have to take the whole device.
