also keep in mind this is made of pine, and while it is solid wood pine is a softer wood, so i expect i will have teeth marks and stratches down the road, but again the value for the money was there.
i also was using the baby bargains book and it said mdb/davinci got a b- for its soft wood cribs that can scratch easily.
-pine is a soft wood, and dings pretty easily.
made of good quality softwood pine all through except the drawer.
koala baby sheets do fit it well; especially the "deluxe play yard" sheet made of ultra plushy velboa fabric (it's listed as polyester but it's the super-soft plush fabric otherwise known as velboa).
very light, soft mattress, just wish it came with a sheet but i will find one i am sure.
and now we use a more ridged quilt folded up on top of the mattress, so it creates a softer sleeping surface, but it is not hazardous as far as smothering.
makes everything easy and the sheet is very soft
i saw it in the store and thought it was soft but not worth $[...].
i just received the blue gingham pattern and am delighted to find that the soft blue is neither too muted nor too loud.
anything about that because my baby has not been bothered by it but i plan to pad it with a blanket as i have noticed he falls asleep on my bed or his soft changing pad pretty quickly in comparison.
the only con is that the sleeping area is a bit hard.....we bought a bassinet pad to put under the sheet to try to soften the surface a bit.
they fit perfectly, are far softer than sheets, and come in an assortment of colors!
they're new, and haven't been pooped on, and really soft.
i gave it 4 stars and not 5 because initial set up was a bit difficult(we definitely used the directions), the mattress pad is a little hard (i wish it was softer) and the sheets are expensive.
the mattress is a little hard so you can make it softer by putting a quilted mattress pad on it and using a quilted pack n play sheet (by graco) instead of the cosleeper sheet.
the quilting helped smooth out the lumps and make the mattress more comfortable without making it so soft that i'm worried about a smothering hazard.
a fitted sheet for the cosleeper's "mattress" is included, and it is quite soft material compared to other sheets on the market.
now he has a softer surface to snooze on and i can simply slide him over to nurse or roll myself right up to him...
the product is soft and durable.
it is sturdy, soft, attractive, and well-designed with lots of room for storage underneath.
pros: compact, soft, well-made, nice color selection
pros: compact, soft, well-made, nice color selection cons: your baby might not want to sleep in it the bottom line: i recommend you buy one...you won't know ahead of time if your baby will try to
the paint is a bit soft, it's pretty much that way with all white furniture though...
only thing i could say about this crub where it may need some improvement is how soft the wood is, but other than that i am very pleased with our purchase.
downside: the wood isn't painted very well, and it seems soft.
crib is beautiful, but again as the dresser, wood is soft and came with several dents and scratches.
the wood feels soft and can easily get dents.
the wood can get dented because the wood is kind of soft, but not too bad, theres cribs out there with even softer wood and for a bigger price.
the wood is a softer wood and will get dents if banged against.
pros: beautiful dark wood, sturdy, reasonable price, diy-assemble cons: uncoordinated instructions, soft wood, wobbly drawer the bottom line: good assemble-it-yourself crib
the first crib had one sheet of soft packing material for all the panels.
when you think of hardwood, you expect oak or birch, not a softwood like pine.
