i can only reccomend that you follow the instructions and assemble it one step at a time (headboard, then footboard, then crib, etc).

there's even a step where they recommend it might take 2 people but i had no problem with it, even with my big preggo belly.

my only complaint is that there are some "pre-assembly" steps that have to be done and if you're not paying attention (like i wasn't) you get ahead of yourself because they are not shown on the crib

helpfully, it also comes apart quite easily if you skip a step (don't ask how i know this).

the crib is nice for the money we paid...the assembly directions were not very helpful, and some of the steps even seemed out of order.

the highest mattress setting isn't all that high, so if you are short, you'll definitely either need a stepping stool or get crib with drop-down sides!

the steps for installing the mattress support bars were either labeled incorrectly, cause the pictures weren't displayed as the instructions stated.

assembly wasn't bad if you took it step by step, it is easy to get some of the pieces backward since they are all the same.

a few steps would have been faster with an extra pair of hands so maybe two people can do in 45 minutes give or take

i had with it is a: it does not tell you how to work the drop side rail and b: the directions are plastered to the mattress base in tiny print so you have to keep getting up to go read the next step.

if you take your time reviewing each step of assembly before you start assembling, you'll find it easy...

assembly was straightforward, just make sure to have an adjustable wrench handy for one of the steps.

i suggest taking things slow, reading through each step thoroughly, taking a close look at the diagrams and looking at the pieces you're about to put together to see that everything makes sense

we will have to turn that side of the crib around to be flush against the wall and will need to take steps to reinforce that side.
