my biggest complaint about this crib is the price -- it's well-made, but the mattress is your basic foam (and in fact, if you wash the outer cover you are stripping it right down to the block of
it's as easy as unzipping the mattress cover and pulling it out.
- the mattress is waterproof (good), but with only a cotton sheet covering it, the baby tends to perspire when sleeping for a long time on the mattress.
the mattress is quite thin, but she is certainly comfortable, and it has a waterproof cover so no stains.
they should sell you a secondary mattress cover in case you need to switch them in the middle of the night, but you can probably get an extra one from the manufacturer.
the only down side is that screw covers are not included, so you have this beautiful crib with these giant screw holes everywhere, it would have been so much nicer to have covers so you coudln't see
the only thing i noticed is that the holes the hardware went in didn`t come with the pegs to cover the holes to make it look finished.
now the only thing that would have made me give this thing 5 stars would be if it had bolt plugs to cover the bolt heads that are visible, i can probably make them out of dowels but it would have
- the bolts can be seen, do not cover, but this is the case with most cribs i have seen in market
to everyone complaining about wanting covers to hide the screws: they're a choking hazard!
only complaint is that two of the rails on the back of the crib were cracked a bit-the crib bumper covers these-but i don't know how durable it will be down the road.
my daughter already bit some of the paint off the end (luckily the aquarium toy covers it up!), so we'll probably repaint it at a later time!overall it's good and i hope to use it for a long time!
some covers to insert over the screw holes would be nice so it doesn't look so "temporary" but it would also make it harder to disassemble later to move.
the only thing that we wish it had was wood plugs to cover the screw holes...but that is a more cosmetic thing.
(the dresser had two scratches, but both are hidden and easy to cover up.) both are sturdy and a great buy for the price.
if i had a complaint about the product itself, it would surround the bottom drawer not being covered.
the hole on the front are not the cutest, they could have provided screw covers or hole plugs but other then that i love this crib!!
if i had a complaint, it would surround the bottom drawer not being covered.
(wish there were caps to cover the screw holes) package was delivered without a scratch.
i think if i use a sharpie, this will cover anyway.
i also got the cover (to keep my cat out) and do not recommend it due to poor design, but i do highly recommend the sleeper.
it folds up smaller than a pack and play, takes up very little room next to the bed, and has a netted tent cover for the summer to protect from mosquitos (or your cat who is dying to sleep with the
i tuck a receiving blanket around the edges to cover the "sheet" with a waterproof liner in-between.
i've even tried making it softer by putting blankets down on the board of a mattress and covering this with a receiving blanket that i tuck in the sides (something i don't want to do because of the
by the way, instead of using bassinet sheets, try chennile changing pad covers.
what i do like about it that it is close by so you can see the baby while he's sleeping (i was paranoid about blankets covering his face).
one tiny area for improvement...the mini does not have any covers (they only sell them for the large co-sleeper).
the bed is covered with very soft material, which i like, and the mattress is easy to clean for those guaranteed midnight blowouts.
the other complaints that i have are that the "mattress" is terribly hard, and the cover was awful.
the crib is safe becausenear the bars there is a cover to protect the baby from the bars sothe baby will never be able to get ...
maybe i am too particular, but if you are too, iron the bedding and shelf cover before you assemble the item!
we had to put a thick blanket in the mattress cover to fluff up the mattress and finally she slept in it..i would not recommend buying this product.
it has the plastic cover on the drop-side rail, but our little woodchuck used his bottom teeth to sand out two spots on the curved side rail.
i alsobought the storkcraft - aspen 5-drawer chest, cognac which matchedgreat and the storkcraft ottoman and glider in cognac with the blueseat cover.
the drawer is shallow and is not covered on top, but is better than no drawer at all.
do not hesitate to purchase as storkcraft covers any damage or parts for one full year from the date of purchase.
we had to use furniture markers to cover up at least a dozen scratches, and even had to sand some spots that would certainly have given splinters to anyone touching those areas.
i covered them up with a little paint and you can hardly notice them, however.
i have this delta luv jenny lind crib in natural oak, and for one thing, both rails at the top are covered in plastic for teething.
there is nothing to cover it up or make it blend into the wood.
there is some bite protection on the top of the side rails from the plastic cover, but my 9 month old took a bite out of one of the side slats.
