the only complaint i have about this crib is my 9 month old started chewing on it and now i have bit marks on the side rail.
the only thing i was dissapointed about was you can't tie a crib bumper to the front section and you can't have the crib toys on the sides of the crib bc of the railing being too thick but other than
the static lowered side is nice too-- it's so much sturdier than the cribs that have a rail that you raise and lower-- you won't be disappointed with this crib!
only draw back is that when i tried to put up a mobile that matches my crib set, it did not fit due to the high sides.
i do not remember reading when i purchased the crib, that it has a drop down side...
the only thing i miss about the old one was the side bars to convert it to a daybed as my son will be ready to move up soon ( this one replaced the old crib in july and he wasn't ready for a toddler
i just purchased this crib in store at target in espresso colour and put it together by myself (7 mths pregnant) -- the only part i needed assistance with was getting the drop side on, although if i
it's nice to have one that is tall on all sides cus our baby is rather tall and tries to climb over but can't since the sides are high enough.
(side note: [...] which turned out to be a perfect match for this crib- in my opinion.
it is easy to use the drop side and looks great in his room.
(my only complaint is that the front rail is a little on the flimsy side but it is no biggy for what you get for the money) product attributes: value:
crib and it has been great, the only thing that i can say has been a con is that you can't put teething rails on the sides and my son has chewed on the sides, but the fishish is supposed to be safe.
able to help my husband put the crib together, it does take 2 people, and i put the drawer together by myself.i initially had a crib bumper that had a headboard bumper piece as one of the 4 sides.
the only issue is that the angles sides and back make it hard to attach some crib toys/mobiles, i had to attach the mobile to the dropside rail because it was the only side that wasnt too thick, but
it did get chipped (on the toddler bed side rail piece) during the shipping, but i found the paint chip and it won't be too obvious when it is glued on.it wasn't too difficult to put together if you
it's a little loud when you drop or pull up the side of the crib, but my daughter seems to have gotten use to it.
it would also be nice if the manufacturer would have assembled the legs and curved top piece onto the sides before sending it because that was the most difficult part to put together correctly.
i checked out drop side crib in babies r us and also in some local stores but did not find what i was looking for.
("attach right drawer glide (j) to right headboard (g) using bolt (yy).") there were some moments of confusion -- trying to figure out from the illustrations which side of a piece is the inside or
pros: style is nice, looks beautiful when assembled, sturdy, nice side railing/drop side.
it was important to me to have a crib w/out a drop down side, and the swoop in the front really makes it easy to get the baby, but i'm 5'10 so i dont know how hard it would be for someone shorter.
*the fact that it isn't a dropside rail, it is a sound structure, they designed the front rail to have a swoop so mother can easily put the baby in and out of the crib..
the only down side is that screw covers are not included, so you have this beautiful crib with these giant screw holes everywhere, it would have been so much nicer to have covers so you coudln't see
i did not want a crib with a drop down side, since there has been a lot of recalls regarding drop down cribs in the last year (they can create a gap that may lead to suffocation).
i love it and appreciate the way it is built with the curve in front so that i don't have to worry about pulling down the side and then waking my baby up.
the one hand drop side is really easy and smooth, just make sure your drawer is pushed in all the way!we haven't moved the mattress level down yet so i don't know if it will be easy to move or
it's a little darker (not much) than it appears on the website - a nice medium oak color.it seems really sturdy, and the drop side is easy to use (and pretty quiet).
one lift handle actually requires your knee to push the side in so it drops.
the only down side is that it will be 3 weeks to process before the new pieces are shipped.
we haven't used the drop down side much as our baby is still young but it seems to work just fine so far.
the kickbar feature is great for letting down the side of the crib for easy access and it's super quiet!
the crib was delivered very quickly(great) however there was a piece missing and the side rail of the crib was badly damaged.
it is a little more unique with the curved sides and we love it!
our one month old baby is still using his mini co-sleeper right now, but we've put him in the crib for a few naps and since he's started to 'scoot' and turn on his side, he loves having the space.
please take off the plastic teething guards that come on the sides of the crib.
- there aren't any sheets manufactured for this crib, so we are using a standard crib sheet and tucking it in around the sides
too short); and 2) since the sides are sloped in slightly, it is a little difficult to put sleeping baby in easily - you have to bend over and lean forward slightly, compromising your balance.
the only down side is that the baby sleeps all the way down at the floor level so it can be a bit hard on your back to pick them up.
it is so easy to lift and carry, which is a big deal because i'm pregnant and on the wimpy side.
the sides are sloped so that the baby can't climb out of it.
he has outgrown it and it wakes him up when he hits his hands and head on the sides at night.
i didn't give it a 5 because it is a little difficult to asseble and dissasemble, but once you get one side down, the rest goes easier.
do as the mattress folds for storage, so i just pick up the end "flap") and put the mattress all the way on that end, then put that side down and repeat on the other side, it makes the job very easy.
it has storage underneath for your sheet and pocket on the sides for diaper, wipes, bottle etc.
it has lots of compartments on the sides for diapers, or whatever and it has quite alot of space below for storage of anything and everything...well worth the $.
to convert the crib to a toddler bed, according to the instructions, you just take off one side rail (it's extremely easy, by the way).
i have not had the problems that others have mentioned with this crib and have found that i can operate it with one hand by clicking open one side, then the other, and then sliding the rail down.
it is easy to raise and lower the sides of the crib (albeit with two hands) and the quality is impressive for the price.
it would be nice to have a one-handed release for the side rail.
my husband and i took the side rails off for our son to use it as a toddler bed.
the only thing i didnt like about it is because the sides and the back design its kind of hard to attach things like bumper pads mobiles and crib toys, but the design of the crib is what makes it
(click anywhere inside this popup to close it) this is the side..see solid and good for sneaky parents my husband and i bought this product online and were greatly anticipating its arrival
there was a chip in the wood, luckily it's in the back part of the crib so it's not noticeable.this crib is prefect, it has all of the features i wanted like the teething guard, drop side and turns
the details i don't like of this crib are the material of the drawer, because isn't real wood and both sides of the crib aren't good cuality because when i assembled it i got splinter on my finger.
beautiful crib but the only downfall is if you want to use a mobile the only place i was able to put mine on was on the drop down side rail.
it is very convenient for her to place the baby in the bassinet close to her bed leaving the side down so that she can view the baby.
the pack-n-play bassinet was awkward; too tall and we had to reach over the side of it just to sooth her back to sleep by placing her pacifier in her mouth or holding her little hand (she went
i gave it 4 stars because the cloth on all 4 sides runs the risk of getting urine on it if you have a little boy, there needs to be 4 wheels and not two for easier mobility, it's not as easy as it
not sure why people are saying this tilts, we had no problem at all...we didnt attach it to our bed though and had no problems, we had a preemie and kept the side down for a few weeks with no
2- it is hard to set up the crib bumper since couldn't tie it in the back, but was only able to do so on the sides and the front.
it also has drop-side, so that you can raise or lower to whatever level is appropriate for you.
also if you are tying a bumper in, remember there are no spokes on the back side to tie it to.
the gate is loose on one side unless you really pull on it when you raise it.
love that this is one of the few full back headboard cribs that has a classic design shown on the 2 front feet, and carved details along the top, and also has a modern trend like a collapsing side.
the crib seems very sturdy and its one hand drop side is very convienient.
the drop sides make it very easy to lift my little guy in and out of and i love the fact that it converts to a toddler bed.
the only minor complaint is that the drop-down side got slightly more difficult to maneuver as time went on.
pros: access from both sides, side lowers with ease easy to assemble, sturdy, very pretty!!!
pros: access from both sides.
it is a little difficult to move the side rail up and down, especially if one of your arms is occupied (by a baby).
i would prefer it if the side rail that lowers/raises would "click" when it is securely in place.
i don't have any issues with the side rail - works well for me and i guess the motion i use to raise it lets me know that it is locked.
my husband and i love this crib.the only complaint is that the drop side can be a bit tricky at first.
the knee-drop down side is great when the baby is sleeping in your arms and you (me) are too short to lift the baby over the rails.
i love the netting on either side --it helps to prevent your baby from suffocating is she smushes her face up too close to the sides.
it has a wood bottom & fabric sides.
i loved this for bed side use.
the bassinet is sturdy and well built..like some others have said the pad is a little thin, but all u have to do is buy one of those foam pads for sale on this website that elevates the baby's head
also, because the sides do not come down, it is a bit hard to change the sheets on the lowest mattress position, but that isn't too much of a big deal.
the stationary side rail makes this crib a lot more sturdy than traditional rails that move up and down.
my only complaint - the exposed hardware on the sides of the crib; i would have preferred if the screws/bolts were covered as it would give the crib a more finished appearance, but for the money,
we bought the side rails and the toddler rail so we would have everything when we needed it.
fitted my budget but also because we lived in a small bedroom at the time of baby #1 and could not enjoy a fancier design (i.e sleigh crib where the back would curve and sides might had extras foot)!
really appreciate the fact that there is barely any noise when the side slides up and clicks into place - it definitely won't wake the baby.
it is a bit lightweight, but for my purposes, it's perfect.it was easy enough to put together, i did that alone.an extra set of hands would have been nice at the end when putting the adjustable side
now that the baby is pulling up, we've been actually pulling the side up all the way and i've noticed that you need to be careful to make sure it's latched on both sides or the drop-side can be
easy to adjust, quiet - getting ready to by the side rail to make it a toddler bed.
when i first got it, the side stuck when i would try to move it down, but that worked itself out and now i have no trouble with it.
the nice thing about it is that it works just like a regular crib with the side that lowers and the mattress level which has two settings.
the crib bottom can be set at two heights, has a drop-side, collapses in half, and holds up to 45lbs.
only one side goes up and down, and it does take two hands to do that...
the plastic holding up the side totally ruins the crib.
the lowered side right next to the bed was a lifesaver for me too, as my daughter got heavier, since it saved me (and my bad back) from having to lift her as high to get her out and to put her back.
and yes, when you make it you need to bend one side of the mattress up at a time and then snap the sides down.
the pockets on the side were very helpful with my baby being in our room right after we came home from the hospital.
other side sleepers may be a bit more colorful but this one has all the high ratings!
the product that ended up working best for me is getting two side-rails and attaching those to the bed and using those to keep the baby from falling out of the bed at night.
