we used this crib with our now 4 year old son and just got it out of storage to use with our upcoming twin boys.
it is easy to raise and lower the sides of the crib (albeit with two hands) and the quality is impressive for the price.
we went ahead and put him in the crib the first night because the pediatrican told us it would not hurt him.
it has been a sturdy crib for us even though my daughter likes to grab the rails and shake the bed.
she is not ready for the toddler bed yet but it is nice to know that this crib converts to a day bed when she is ready.
i have had this product for almost 3 years now and used it with two children.
only complaint is that two of the rails on the back of the crib were cracked a bit-the crib bumper covers these-but i don't know how durable it will be down the road.
just a note (call it coincidence if you will)...my son has slept through the night since, at 2 months, we put him in his crib.
we got the crib yesturday and put it together last night.
i lost many countless hours of sleep wondering if we decided on the right crib, and after all is said and done, it is well worth it!
i would definitely recommend this crib and can't wait to watch my baby sleeping in it.
it is not made of real wood like the crib itself but it seems fairly sturdy and could certainly be used to hold extra bed linens.
i put it together all by myself and it was very easy, it only took me about two hours.
i would recommend that two people work together to assemble it for convenience's sake, but it is not necessary in my opinion.
we are two months away from baby jack joining us and i am sure he will love his new crib and alphabet soup bedding!
it was not easy to assemble (and we're two fairly mechanical people)- instructions were not very clear.
i've had this crib for two years now and it's held up amazingly.
i am very pleased with this purchase not just b/c of the quality but also for the price and the fact that it transforms from crib to toddler bed to day bed to full size bed.
the baby is sleeping great in this crib, i'm thrilled with it!
it is a gorgeous piece of furniture that will be functional from the day she is born until the day she is ready to leave home for college, since it converts from crib, to toddler bed, to full size bed
convert it to a daybed as my son will be ready to move up soon ( this one replaced the old crib in july and he wasn't ready for a toddler bed yet, plus we plan to have another child in the future).
you will need two people to put it together--and give yourself at least an hour or two--but you will be very happy with the end result.
however, i figured it out really quick and in no time, my little girls' sleeping quarters was up and ready to go!!!
and consumer reports even rated it as tied for 2nd with pottery barn's "dana" ($500) and second only to bellini's "bella" ($930), which doesn't even convert to a toddler or day bed as this one does.
otherwise it went together while watching tv and the finish is great and goes well with the rest of the bedroom furniture.
given the design of the crib (the two solid ends without rails and the large section in the back of the crib), it is a little more challenging to tie on bumpers.
storkcraft replaced the part in about two weeks.once we were finally able to put the whole crib together it turned out beautiful.
wal-mart truly has lower prices, always!!the instructions were a little hard to interpret, and you will need at least two people to help put this thing together...three would be best!the only thing i
this crib was exactly the style i was going for and was fairly easy to put together but it did take two people.
the one thing that impressed me over other cribs we looked at, is it comes with the conversion kit to turn the crib into a daybed or full size bed.
it goes great with light pink bedding i have.
we had to get two cribs b/c we had twins.
worked wonderful as a toddler bed too.
overall, we like the cribs for the money we spent on them; we also liked that they converted to toddler beds.
again, it takes two people to change the mattress height, but it's a pretty straightforward process.
all of your pieces and compare them to the instructions (some of them are not used for the crib, but only for the bed conversion), then it doesn't take too long to figure out which pieces go where.
i ordered this crib on a monday, had it shipped with two other pieces of furniture to my local wal-mart through the site-to-store program, and everything was in by saturday.
the rochester crib by storkcraft is a good value, it's a stages crib and will convert into a daybed then a double bed, so far i've only use it as a crib and it has been great, the only thing that i
we've loved it so far but have only used it as a crib, not the toddler bed or the double bed.
my husband and i just put this crib together last night and we love it.
the only two complaints i have is (1) it doesn't come with the lower bar to make it a toddler crib, so the 3-in-1 part of it was useless to us, and we ended up just buying a regular full-sized bed
i also am dissapointed that since it is a 3 in 1 crib that it doesn't come with the toddeler bed conversion rails.
my son sleeps all night in his crib..i love it.
this is a great crib but if you convert it over to a toddler bed beware, there is no guard rail and it doesnt fit any guard rail that you can buy.
it took about two weeks to get it from the time that she ordered to the time that we got it.
you just have to make sure that the it's very warm in the room since the baby pretty much sleeps on the floor.
the ultimate test of a crib though, no matter how much we like it, is if your child will actually sleep in it.
i used the travel crib last night for the first time and my 4 month old seemed to like it.
too short); and 2) since the sides are sloped in slightly, it is a little difficult to put sleeping baby in easily - you have to bend over and lean forward slightly, compromising your balance.
it was a fantastic decision - our baby loves the crib and sleeps very well in it both at home and in hotels.
just a suggestion for all who go for this crib; when you order the bedding, make sure it has a bed-skirt/ruffle so that it hides all your stuff in the drawer.
i would agree that it takes about 1-2 hours to put together, you will need a bed skirt to make sure the contents of the drawer don't show, and while the bottom of the drawer is particle board and not
i also love that it comes with the rail to convert to a toddler bed.
i use it to store the baby's bedding and any small toys.
the contemporary design and the two-tone color goes with any decor.
when i bought this i was a little worried that the room would come out dark but not at all i just bought light crib bedding it all worked.it is a lot money for a crib but it was worth it.
i would highly recommend this, and i can't wait to convert it to the toddler bed!
the first two (for the first two children) were not good quality.
my son is about to turn two and we are going to need a toddler bed soon.
i would give this bed 5 stars but for the fact we haven't converted it to the toddler bed or the full size so we can only review it based on the crib configuration.
it did however come with two broken pieces.
the instructions to put it together were pretty simple, and my husband and i were able to do it in just over an hour (although it definitely requires two people).
it was very easy to build, though it requires two people.
it is a good buy for what you pay and i like that you can't loose the instructions because they are attached to the bed, and i like that i will grow with my daughter.
