Cribs and Bassinets for Twins Buying Guide

When buying furniture for newborn twins, make sure you purchase a crib large enough to accommodate both babies. This sounds obvious, but it's a common mistake. Most bassinets are too small for twins, but large cribs can accommodate your twins with comfort and safety until they are old enough to move around. When they do begin to move about, you'll want to consider purchasing separate cribs to ensure their safety.

Larger cribs suitable for twins often do not come with a mattress. If you purchase a crib that does not include a mattress, make sure the mattress you buy fits the crib properly. Be sure you can't fit more than a finger between the mattress and the crib frame to ensure your children's safety.
