if you travel with your notebook a lot, but if you watch movies and listen to music on it, and your notebook spends a decent amount of time in one location at your house, they are a great buy.

as far as portability is concerned, no i won't be carrying them around the house, but they are certainly perfect for my little desk and perfectly fine to take with us on a trip.
