the m220's have 4 drivers per speaker and offer a truly wide range that includes substantial base (especially considering there is no separate subwoofer).
the base of each speaker is actually soft rubber, which reduces sound quality loss caused by vibration through your countertop.
these speakers have a real nice base response without too much sacrifice on the high end.
they keep falling over on my mobile pc cart(the base is too small)
i mainly leave it on game for music because it produces heavier bases, i'm a bass guy.
this system is simply amazing - adaquate base and very clear thanks 2 fdd2 tech.
i bought my speakers based on what i read in other reviews.
deep, punchy base.
satellite speaks have base that can be easily unscrewed and turned so they can be placed flat on the wall.
there is a lot of base if you need it, and the high ranges are crisp.
the sound is excellent especially the base.
great base, great highs and lows.
anyway, the sound is decent, tha bases are even more prominent then i would normally like, so i pretty much turned them off.
i paid a special onsale price of $80 and that's why i made the purchase, and this review is based on this price.
the sound is nice and clear and it has very loud base.
the base is deeper.
my suggestion is do a google search on other reviews before you purchase these speakers solely based on the reviews here.
i don't know what i excepted for 85.00.the wire from the remote speaker is built into it and came up a little short for me so i had to buy some extension to make it work where i wanted it.also the
cons: well obviously there is no surround sound or advanced features since this is a versatility based design.
the volume control station plugs right into the base station (if you have one) or headphone plug and sounds amazing, though i've had no need to have it play at a grand scale.
especially the base part.
i would have glady paid twice as much for these speakers based on there performance.
i purchased this product based on the reviews here and i'm not disappointed.
this set of speaker are great for a 20 buck set you will not get any thing beater in this price rang they have great base and moveis sound like the theater.
once in a while a company will manufacture a truly excellent product, then sell it at a bargain basement price.
the only problem is that it does not go up as high as you'd want it to and that it does not have base.
but i thought the quality would be very poor (based on how inexpensive they were).
the speakers do not have base or treble regulations, but they're exactly what i needed for my laptop.
don't expect much deep mid-range (base non-existent), or musicality at anything but modest volume.
i really like the product design, with a separate control base...very stylish and useful, but of poor quality.
i bought this product based off of the other positive reviews of everyone that had the item.
great sound with a nice touch of base.
while on a budget to equip a new home office laptop with adequate sound, i bought the s220 package based on the logitech reputation and the price.
i like good sound and considered other, higher priced brands, but based on the reviews of this product, decided to give them a try.
wanted extra speaker to extend my htpc into another room (ran 1/8" cord through heater duct and down in the basement); speakers are nice looking, crisp sound and were exactly what i wanted and paid
maybe the other reviewer was listening to electronic-based music?
prosvery nice sound, adjustable base, not too tall, great color consa bit wide and bulky, but if you have the space they're great.
i have the receiver located in my basement and the signal comes in loud and clear by my pool a good 100ft.
i bought these specifically to add music to my basement bar area.
i have the base behind my tv and it still works so no line of site needed, great!
they should have an automatic power saving mode and come back to life when a signal is received from the base.
other thoughts: if you're looking for an all-apartment/house setup, you may find it cheaper to do what i did and order these full units (dual speaker w/ base station and remote) instead of
the audiohub is the first usb-based speaker that i've used.
they come in one stream-lined (but long and difficult to carry), long set, and they can adjust to lengthen or shorten, based on the width of your screen.
not exactly that easy on my ibook g4 laptop (not intel-based).
no huge base box to hide or kick around under your desk.
a moderately sized novel set under the speaker base solves the webcam problem, and i don't notice much sound reduction from the partially concealed speakers.
and - without a bass boost - there's almost no base, so don't forget to turn it on.
the base is good enough as well, and only those who want that huge booming super deep base would want more.
like another reviewer said, there's no real low-end base, but i don't think anyone expects that in self powered sub-compact usb notebook speakers.
if you listen to music with any kind of base, they start distorting at less than half the maximum volume.
four stars for the review are based on:
i bought these based on reviews and price, and they're perfect.
i just hate purchasing something based on a photo and then have it arrive in a different form.
they have absolutely great, full sound with really unexpeced base.
based on my past purchases of mini-systems, this will blow away any of those systems.
without adjustment, the mid-level base seems to overpower the upper level and mid level treble, causing an effect similar to being in a box, a very unpleasant sound.
i bought these based on a review in maximumpc and was very disappointed.
i purchased logitech x-230 speakers first based on user reviews and price, despite that i have been very satisfied with my old altec lansing speakers for years now, and was dissapointed.
i have primium stereo equipment and i like the deep base and crisp highs these speakers produce.
when i first plugged them in and started listening i was a little freaked because the base was over powering u2 etc, and i quickly checked settings and realized that the treble meter had gotten
the logitech z cinema surround sound system is officially designed only for windows-based operating systems using windows media center.
first things first - users will have to make some significant tradeoffs in making the switch from standard analog computer speakers to the (supposed) conveniences of a usb based speaker setup.
the base doesn't come out too well unless you've got the volume pumped up.
at peak volumes the highs, mids, and base are crystal clear.
install and use is very easy and these speakers sound a whole lot better than i expected them to sound based on the price.
i searched for "mp3 speakers", found one that could play *any* mp3 player and was within the $40 dollar price range, picked these based on price, overall reviews, and looks (i am terribly biased when

based on this design flaw and inconvenience, i will not purchase any more of your products in the future.
the sound quality isn't what i expected and the satellites tip over easily as they don't have a good base and/or not weighted.
i just wanted some base and good stereo sound and after reading reviews about this and that, i was a little hesitant to spend less than 50 bucks.
consthe base of the left and right speakers would be augmented greatly by having rubber cushions, to keep them from sliding.
we bought it to take on a trip with us, and were surprised that it was quite large (the base part).
