The powered sub puts out enough bass at high volumes. The sound is rich and full. Even though it is simply two desk speakers, movies sound good as well, remembering it is not a 5.1 system though. I like the way you can plug in the Ipod with an included wire in the side of the right desk speaker. from Amazon.com Usually when people think about cyber acoustics, they think that the speakers are cheap and sound quality is bad, but these speakers are the best compact 2.1 speakers that I've ever owned.
