I first saw these speakers in a discount computer store in San Antonio, after reviewing others, I was looking all over the cabinet for where the sound on these were coming from, it's as if there is a virtual subwoofer somewhere. They have a hole in the back that is representative of some of the first Bose speakers, so that may be why. from Amazon.com Where they don't excel is when you wish to listen to music online. The music seems somewhat subdued and the range of elements seemed dulled. For casual listening these seem to be OK, but if you are looking for something that is inexpensive but will make music sound heavenly, go for a Sharp stereo system and hook up your computer to the audio input. from Amazon.com I got these speakers as part of the package when I bought a Dell pc a few years ago.
