Summary:I was looking for a good 2.1 speaker system for my computer and wanted to avoid spending a lot of money. This system has great sound (even at max volume) and is very reasonably priced. I from Thenerds.net even more. After looking at and listening to the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX speakers and the Logitech Z2300s, I settled on the Logitech Z-4 speakers. Why? First, my computer is in a small room from Buy.com This is the worst 2,1 speaker i have ever seen. I am not sure how Logitech decided that it is worht $100. The bass was too much and the worst part was the speaker. Mobile phone speakers are better from Circuitcity.com Sound is incredibly good. I live in a dorm, so 2.1 speakers are sufficient for me. However, the volume, clarity, bass of these speakers surprised me. Best purchase ever. from Buy.com great speakers for the price..received them as a Christmas gift. upgraded from my standard dell 2.1 speakers from 2005, HUGE DIFFERENCE! a lot of bass, and my audigy2 helps tweak it to make from Buy.com , sound it spectacular, bass is nice, and gotta love the separate controls. If you compare Z4's to the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 (considered the absolute best THX certified 2.1's ever) however from Tigerdirect.com searched for a good 2.1 system. Wow, did I ever find it! The Z4system sounds awesome. Clean bass, clean mid-range and great highs. Worth every penny. I especially like the remote because I hate digging under from Circuitcity.com on the back of the subwoofer (like other 2.1 systems), making it easy to adjust, and perfect for the office--the power button makes muting easy when you have to make/receive a call. Having the speaker control including from Amazon.com with bass, this Logitech Z 2.1 system with bass. Even Leonard Nimoy's voice in CivIV was all new. I'd recommend these, but if you're looking for the next step up I recommend the Klipsch 2.1 system ([.......]). from Amazon.com immediately and have not been sorry about that decision. Coming from a 5.1 system that I thought was a bit much for my computer, this 2.1 set is great, looks great and you'l be happy with the sound if you aren from Amazon.com Just purchased these speakers for my comptuer, and I have to say, "Wow, awesome". My previous speakers were just JBL normal PC speakers, so upgrading to a 2.1 speaker system, I have to say, was well from Amazon.com For a 2.1 speaker system under 70 dollars, these things perform quite well. The biggest problem I have with them is that there is no tweeters, but I knew that prior to buying them. The mids from Amazon.com I am very happy with these speakers. It's not the high end, but it's worth way more than the price. Nice clean bass, and crisp high ends. A little weak on the mids, but that's expected from 2.1 from Amazon.com I bought two Logitech 2.1 speaker sets: Z-4i and X-230. Overall the sound quality of both is very good and Z-4i is better (of course). What I want to share here:

* The bass sounds "tight from Amazon.com . The Z4's speakers are not matched well to the subwoofer. I feel you lose midrange and the overall sound is flat. They are comparable to the cheapest 2.1 systems that are optional with most new computer from Amazon.com that qualifier a non issue for me.

The remote is the best I've seen or used in a 2.1 system. It has a system volume control knob that is very smooooth feeling and a bass volume knob located at my from Amazon.com I bought this speaker system to play games like age of empires series. I have to say this 2.1 speaker system outperforms my previous yamaha 2.1 system (40W). There are plenty of bass to rock my house from Amazon.com These Z-4 speakers are so easy to install and look fine.
They sound very good, clear and loud. I enjoy listening rock, classic rock, jazz and blues.
Of course they are just 2.1 speakers from Amazon.com Sound quality is great in games and music. As with many 2.1 speakers the mid-range leaves a little to be desired but overall the sounds are crisp and full.
