The Bottom Line: From what I have seen; those who have never played Red Alert before seem to like it much better than veterans to the series.
i installed on all 4 of my computers and reinstalled windows once.
However, with the recent patches you should have no trouble getting the game installed, and they allow you to deauthorize your pc in the event you are going to format or reinstall for any reason.
The Star rating above for "fun" above should read ZERO stars.
Right now I'm dual booting Vista and the Windows 7 RC, and I have RA3 installed on both partitions, activated and working with my single serial key.
2009 is the bicentennial of the birth of Edgar Allan Poe in 1809 but it is his untimely and mysterious death in 1849 that has intrigued people ever since.
If you like murder, mysteries and just plain old " Whodunnit", this is the game for you.
It is very well done for the price and I like it.
For a <$20 game, it's pretty good!
If you have an old video card, this might be a FPS you can run on it.
While waiting for it, I saw some official reviews - and the reviews were average, with plenty of criticisms, making me wonder if I should have bought the game after all.
Seems like an attempt was made to "dumb-down" this game for greater appeal.
Certainly this game is no Dungeon Siege or Dungeon Siege II in it's depth, storyline, visual vistas, and a million configurations, but I'm sure it's because Chris Taylor did not have a hand in the day by day operation -- after all he just "produced" ...
The game takes place soley on a large space transport.
but this game had some really nice stuff going for it...
Having developed Operation Flashpoint and various real-life computer sims for the military, the folks at Bohemia know what they're doing when it comes to delivering the goods in a recreation of ultra deadly large-scale modern combat engagement.
I was really looking forward to trying this one out as well.
I really liked this game.
In terms of environment, it boasts changing night and day, changing tides, speed of sound (you see an explosion before you hear it), Doppler sound (sound changes as a vehicle approaches and then passes you), and gravity effects on bullets (you have t...
If you liked the original Ghost Recon, this sim is for you; in fact ArmA exceeds Ghost Recon in almost every category.
As many people know the Let's Ride series produces good horse games in general and Let's Ride Riding Star does not disappoint.
The horses are realistic and the training and competitions are fun and challenging, especially the dressage!
Let's Ride, Riding Star-- Why won't it let me go to the next training level?
My daughter owns almost the complete series of Let's Ride, the ones for hand-held and playstation game systems are still a little better than those for PC, but the graphics were better than anticipated on this one.
For competition you get to select a name and color for your horse for each different phase.
You got to go produce what you have, develope what you can and go looking for what is not there.
You can increase industry, trade, sign agreements, and generally pretend you're president for a day.
People who think Europa Universalis is not complex enough, welcome to Supreme Ruler 2020!
You will find yourself sitting for hours to make it through 1 game year.
I played it intensively for days and I was able to learn about how to really play this game.
Instead of "medium tank", for example, being the same thing for all counties; there is a clear difference in this game in equipment.
I think I'll enjoy using the 'leader' roles and doing the research for the real gameplay.
First, let me say that this is quite a value - very inexpensive for a new-issue game.
I tried to give this game a shot.
I have been playing these things for over 30 years now.
Pros: the game is inexpensive and you get?a lot ?game time for your money.
Pros: Weapons degrade, malaria, open maps and missions.
Pros: Impressive graphics with luscious landscapes and amazing effects
Pros: Snazzy foliage, convincing sound effects, good cutscenes
This game is too much a hassle to load into my computer.
EA must enjoy releasing expansion packs (especially if you take a look at The Sims and The Sims 2) because the game wasn't released that long before an expansion pack came out.
Bought it to the kids which are big fans of the Spore game.
What is worse is the fact this Stuff Pack is $20.
For your own sanity please do not purchase this product.
Firstly it is important to note some things about this expansion/parts pack.
The best I have seen in a game.
Before you read this, bear in mind that I am reviewing this game having paid only [...] for it.
It's addictive, especially in online co-op mode.
dont buy this game unless you just got a 1500 dollor gaming computer if not you wont be able to play because it needs way to many things to run like my computer wont run because it doesnt have a shader 3 i mean come on a shader 3 what is that any way...
Good game for the price.
After playing TPIR pc game for a few times, I can say there are some good positives to the game, but also some missing elements to the game.
Although the Price is Right tries to stick to the format of the TV show, after awhile I realized it was one long product placement after another.
Does play somewhat like the TV version, be nice if it had 3 games then spin the wheel.
Enjoying the video game, so life like, characters make me laugh.
I am an avid Price is Right fan.
Game itself was a disappointment, as the story line was not what I was hoping for.
OutCry was a very unusual game set in the 1920's (Russia, I think).
I found Outcry to be one of the most fascinating games of the
Was not fun for me.
Both are very common for the adventure game genre and Outcry is one of the most creative and interesting adventures I've played in a long time.
Despite it's repetitive simplicity, the first Godfather game is extremely fun and addictive to play.
Here's the situation, I have played GTA4 all the way thru.
I bought this for my son and he realy likes it.
I bought this game with Chronicles of Riddick on the same day..
I got the first GF game for my ps2, play it and loved it, even with the quirks.
A Roman city-building sim in the vein of such classics as the Caesar series, Grand Ages: Rome has an intriguing premise and workable gameplay, but falls short in other areas.
Grand Ages Rome is not your typical city-building game.
I've been playing this for months, I'm a veteran gamer, and a smart guy.
I like the game but had to repair Windows in two successive PCs (XP Media center and Vista home ultimate)after operating system corruption the day after use of the game.
I love city building games mainly Roman but this game just sucks on so many levels like another person stated within 2 minutes of starting a free build game there was three fires with no way of putting them out within the next minute i got a message ...
Amazingly great work for the price.
As a fan of adventure games, I have to say this is among the more boring ones I have played for quite a long time.
The graphics are very nice, a few of the puzzles stumped me for a bit, but I completed the game in under two hours, and for the price being asked by most places, I'd say it's not really worth buying.
Translation problems from French to English might ruin it for people who do not speak French.
Sometimes the background is dark and you will have difficulties (for example, at the metro entrance I had trouble opening the gate), and there is no option to control the lighting.
For the low price, I was not expecting much, but I'm an FPS collector, so I had to have it.
I bought this as a Christmas present for one of the grandsons, so I don't know yet how well he likes it, or how much fun it is for him to play.
I have two computers.
It may not be for the most advanced gamer but it is fun, and easy to navigate.
If this game came out in the 90's then it would have been in its time but with the games out today this is truely out of date with code that is currently being written.
After re installing the first Armed Assault after not playing for a year or so, i quickly picked up on the control scheme.
ARMA 2 uses Macrovision FADE DRM (apparently it's already been cracked).
Arma II is the ultimate military sandbox simulator.
Armed Assault 2 (ARMA 2) is a military action-startegy game based around squad and platoon-level tactics.
On the one hand, I loved Operation Flashpoint (which the Arma series was basically a sequel to), and on the other hand, the early reviews talked about a buggy game, maybe too ambitious.
I also love all of Gordon Ramsay's shows (especially Hell's Kitchen) and I really enjoy this game.
This game is fun for everyone.
This game has nothing to do with cooking.
This game is like everyone has said, not a "culinary" game but a coordination/time mangement game.
I, personally, don't care for the game but the person I purchased it for loves the game and the TV show.
Pros: Hours of fun, and great way to pass the time.
Pros: Well-executed given the game's ambition.
Pros: Creators can make awesome creations; fun;?experience of cell to space-faring beings; for all ages
Pros: Very customizable gameplay, great replay value, tons to do!??
Pros: New innovative game play.
Didn't get into it much, just wasn't my thing.
I am very disappointed.
I guess I'm going to be going against the grain here, but I really liked this game.
Shattered Suns...
I was given this game as a gift, so at least I didn't personally get ripped off.
