Eve Online is a truly fantastic game that I absolutely love and on this basis I'd thoroughly recommend this box set to any new player. Existing players thinking of buying this do however need to be very wary. from Amazon.com Pros: One Universe for all players, not seperate servers/realms. Corporation (guild) system is well integrated, but optional. from Newegg.com Well, this is essentially TradeWars 2000 with very pretty graphics. Of course there are many original concepts added. Eve has a well thought out and diverse set of races, classes and professions; each of which has its own set of ships they can pilot and customize. Space is quite expansive, but travel throughout space is limited to choke-points called warp-gates. from Amazon.com The game is eve online instead of multiple servers playing the same game they use only one server to host all players at once. You don't have to change servers to be with your friends in this game they are all on the same one. from Amazon.com Pros: Anyone can play- eve's universe systems have security ratings from 0.0 - .1 .2 .3 up to .9. If you are buying it to keep from having to download the 3gb installer, don't bother, 'cause the update for the version on disk is the same size as the full installer.
