Has a lot of useless units - a good RTS should have every unit retain at least a little usefulness throughout an entire match. Most of the secondary abilities of units just add to the cheeziness of the game. Other Thoughts: I would take Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert 1 or Tiberian Sun over this game, any day - they were amazing, especially in their time (and still pretty good these days). If you want a good strategy game set in the C&C universe, go for one of them or else Generals with Zero Hour. from Newegg.com Having heard all of the bashings on RTS games for consoles, I was not expecting much. Sorry. from Amazon.com To all who cimplain about the DRM on this game: Yeah, DRM sucks. But I have not had one single issue with it since I bought the game in January. Right now I'm dual booting Vista and the Windows 7 RC, and I have RA3 installed on both partitions, activated and working with my single serial key. If the drive fails, I realize I'm out two activations, but at that point I'll just stick with Win7 and still have 2 unneeded activations. from Amazon.com I have been a long time RTS player on the PC and played and mastered skirmishes in games like AOE, AOM, Star Wars RTS, Red Alert 2 among others. I personialy HATE resorce hubs and HATE General powers. from Amazon.com Not only was this boring after about five minutes, you had to deal with three "instructors" trying to crack (very bad) jokes every half sentence or so. So after dealing with all of this, just in case I ran into anything I might not have seen in any of the other C&C games (and learning that it was essentially C&C 3, with less unit variety/abilities and C&C Generals "General Powers"), I started the Russian campaign. Right away you learn how dumbed down this game is for the simultaneous console release (aside from the fact that nearly every unit has an alternate ability you can engage, and ONLY ONE, unlike C&C3 where units had up to four). You have a constant second player, be it AI or another human, and the AI player only serves on purpose: To make the game REALLY ABSURDLY EASY. from Amazon.com I've been playing the command and conquer series for over 6 years now.
