the frother allows for a cup 8", anything taller you would have to tilt, but i don't use it anyway, i use a seperate frother.

i have no comment on the frother/steamer as we've literally never used it.

the magnifica is so easy to use and to clean, it's great not to have to deal with filters, grinders, frothers, etc.
