Best Coffee Makers for 2 Cups

the only two that could make 12 cups was this one and an italian one that used #3 filters?

i use it to make 2 cups or full pots.

i just bought this coffeemaker two days ago (from macy's at the same price) for 3 main reasons: it makes 12 cups, a sturdy thermos (i'm clutsy and had broken my previously purchased thin glass

if he goes through 2 or 3 pots of 12-cups, well, the coffee needs to last at least a few hours.
