a standard coffee mug..it gets soooo hot to the touch..cause it brews right into the cup..you can't even touch the cup for a while..i might start brewing in one cup, then pour into another to drink?

really, it makes the hot water, and you let it pour over whatever flavor of stuff you like to drink and then dribble into your cup.

i had "brewed" a cup of tea and forgot to put a teabag in so i poured the hot water back into the resevior to rebrew and the whole thing has now shut off and i can't get it to work at all.

one suggestion: since the water tray can hold more than one cup of water, i usually fill my cup with the proper amount of water and then pour it into the tray.
