the unit it would be to add a lighted water meter you could read the water level better but other than that for the price you can't get a better high end maker producing a better cup of hot coffee.

but like any thermal devise, it needs to be prepped (after all if you pour hot coffee/water/soup into a cold thermos, it will not stay hot for long).
