i searched on line for a replacement coffeemaker since i couldn't find one locally.
the brew selection feature was new to me so the first pot was a little strong - dialed it down one notch and was perfect.
after my mr coffee leaked all over my counter for the umpteenth time, i decided it was time to get a new one.
the entire unit is light and flimsy-feeling (it moves every time you press one of the buttons on the front), and it's nearly impossible to load it with water without spilling the contents of the
i have run into the situation where i've made a pot of coffee and turn around to make another one and the 'empty resevoir' feature won't let it start, even when water is in place.
after trying 3 types and being disapppointed, i settled on this one and really like it.
i dont know how krups does it, and i dont care, this machine is just one of the best on the market today, and probably thee best when we're talking about the quality of the end result...which is all
my old one just snapped off easily which was great, but it dripped when i poured.
hope this one lasts--have gone through 5 coffee pots in 6 years.
since i threw away the box and can not return this item, i am also throwing away the pot after trying to use it for one week.
when i was a kid, west bend was one of the best.
does the one minute a cup, coffee is hot.
so far this one is working nicely and making more decent coffee than those plastic monsters.
so...if you want a great cup of coffee, go for this one.
this is a great coffee maker - my last one lasted over a year with heavy use.
this delonghi model seems to be one of the rare exceptions.
so i was at target which was my last stop to find a percolator and they didn't have one.
this coffee maker is attractive to look at and it takes less counter space than my old one.
to me, that is actually better than having one, because the element on some of the machines i've had can really degrade the flavor of the coffee by overheating it.
overall, though, the coffee is good, the pot works very well and the machine seems a good one.
my previous cm had a removable reservoir, and it never leaked or caused any problem, and i don't see any reason to think this one will.
note: this is my first thermal coffeemaker, and it beats the crap out of all the heating ones i've have befor
Like I said, I wanted the highest capacity automatic coffee machine I could get, that was made for home use, all the other features were great, but it seems to me that I have been mislead.
