it makes absolutely the best coffee i've ever had at home--hot, great flavor, not a lot of work to get there.
i was a little disappointed that it wasn't 12-cup, but really 1-2 cups of water sit below the filter in the bottom of the reservoir.
i had enjoyed coffee made with fresh ground beans using a burr grinder at a friends house, so i decided to find a coffee maker that combined the grinder with the coffee maker.
the coffee is so good that my husband and i fill up at home rather than stopping for coffee in the mornings before work.
this is by far the best tasting pot of coffee i've ever made at home.
we had this coffee pot and our housed burned.
great way to have just one cup of coffee.
the three cup version of this coffeemaker wlll make enough coffee for one person.
now i use it at home and camping.
having always used a drip-machine at home, i wanted to give this a try.
unfortunately we are another household with a cracked plastic plunger after about 4 months of daily careful use...
the second one works fine.
for the price, it is a very nice machine.doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but a good one to start off with.it does what it is designed to do, although, i wish i could see the water container
they replace it with an other one.
great tasting coffee and one cup at a time.
coffee single serve and the same pods came out stronger, thicker and hotter.
i saw on the mr coffee site the machine also comes in red but i couldn't find one to buy.
this machine brews coffee so much faster than my other ones and the biggest bonus is the coffee is hot!
coffee for a new one.
absolutely one of the best designs i've ever seen - kudos to the designer!!!!
coffeemakers and have been pleased with every one.
this coffee maker is the best one that i have ever owned!
one downside - clock reset itself each time you unplug it, and manufacturer do not recommending to keep it plugged in.
and does not drip..unlike others i have tried (no more coffee spills on the counter or tablecloth).the coffee maker also can make 12 cups so you can brew enough for 5 or 6 people at one time.
i had been given the matching turquoise toaster originally, and loved it...so when my old coffeemaker broke, i decided to splurge and get this one, even though it is bigger than i needed...and it
this is a more expensive coffee maker than one might find at stores like bed bath & beyond or linens and things and also department stores ...
the amount of coffee you get and the amount it says is one cup will be different.
one of my objections to perked coffee is there was often some sediment in the coffee.
we already had one and wanted another for when we need to make more coffee.
this one does.
this one is no exception.
it was inexpensive and brewed 2-4 cups which is perfect for one person.
i love the smallness of this unit, particularly as i am the only coffee-drinking person in the household!
when we realized how much of a mess it created to make a couple cups of coffee, we put our house coffee maker in the camper.
additionally, when i stay at hotels, i keep the mini coffee filters supplied with the room and use them in this pot at home.
i purchased this little gem when i was on an extended stay at a friends house where they didn't drink coffee.
we are very pleased with the quality of the coffee, and especially happy that it stays fresh and hot for longer in the carafe, so if one person wakes up early he/she can make coffee for both people
we needed a coffee maker for our second home so i wanted to try one that had a bean grinder.
only negative is, it is a pricey coffee maker, but a great one.
* i wish i had ordered at least one extra goldtone filter; it clearly won't last forever.
cleaning this coffeemaker sets it apart from its peer all-in-ones.
with this one, you need as much water as you can possibly get, because it drips water everywhere.
of course my best recommendation is a rancilio silvia for home (friend has one) but it is labour intensive, have to wait for the boiler to heat up after pulling your shot...
i have been making them for 3 years with our current saeco machine with a delightful crema on each one.
1.there is only one boiler for both espresso and steam.
it makes pretty good coffee but i have had my mind set on a new single cup model that uses both grind coffee as well as pods.
so far its been a real good coffee pot have had no problems leaking makes very good coffee, best one that i've found and i've been through alot of coffee pots.
ok, this coffee maker is not the one i own, but it's pretty similar it is the same only black.
he says it's much better for one person than the larger coffee maker he used to have.
this actually has been my favorite coffee maker i've had in years...it outworks any of the other expensive bigger ones i've owned too!
coffee drx5-gtf, basically the same model as this one, lasted only 2 years under hard water conditions and some poor treatment (it got banged up a bit and sat on the kitchen floor collecting dust for
however when i read the manual i noted that it said one tablespoon of coffee for each 5 ounce cup.
she is the only one in her family who drinks coffee and she says it is so easy to have it ready for the next day because after she finishes her morning coffee she makes it up for the next day and
one suggestion i would have for this product is that it would be much easier to tell how much water is in it if it had a gauge on the outside rather than the difficult-to-see inside ladder guage.
i like it so much i will purchase one for my mother this year for christmas.
improvements that could be made--i wish it had a removable reservoir, but the one pot that i have used that had that feature made the worst coffee i've ever made at home, not to mention the leaky pot.
however this coffee pot is not one of them.
we've gone through a few coffee makers and this one is by far the best one.
it also is an extremely messy event when you forget to switch, manually, back to 2 cups from one.
nice if your making you and your wife a cup of coffee ,you can make eggnog ,and a cup of blueberry the same time , one drew back no automatic on/off .
this one does just great.
the only problem is the little handle on the filters broke after one week.
about the only down side is when i forget to switch it back to one, but other than that i have had no problems.
