it makes absolutely the best coffee i've ever had at home--hot, great flavor, not a lot of work to get there.
i was a little disappointed that it wasn't 12-cup, but really 1-2 cups of water sit below the filter in the bottom of the reservoir.
i had enjoyed coffee made with fresh ground beans using a burr grinder at a friends house, so i decided to find a coffee maker that combined the grinder with the coffee maker.
the coffee is so good that my husband and i fill up at home rather than stopping for coffee in the mornings before work.

bottom line: this unique maker makes the best cup of coffee i have ever made in the home: deep, rich, and flavorful - not at all comparable to the "thin" taste i have seen with drip makers.
the krups moka brew coffeemaker makes the best coffee i've made at home - rivals starbucks for flavor.
i grind the beans at home and use filtered water though i suspect that the difference will be just as striking if you use a major department store brand of coffee.
