Best Jura / Capresso Electric Coffee Makers

first - there is no doubt that this is a very expensive purchase, but if you have two starbucks drinkers in the house it's worth consideration.

this is in fact a very good coffee machine, so far has met all expectations in the household and we have yet to find something to complain about.

in our house 2 adults spending say $10 a day on coffee is $3,650 a year.

after spending $5-$10 a day at starbucks, my wife and i got the jura-capresso for the convenience of a fully automatic machine and having fresh latte's at home in the morning.

we needed a coffee maker for our second home so i wanted to try one that had a bean grinder.

only negative is, it is a pricey coffee maker, but a great one.

* i wish i had ordered at least one extra goldtone filter; it clearly won't last forever.

cleaning this coffeemaker sets it apart from its peer all-in-ones.

we own several capresso coffee makers for both office and home use, this one is up to the outstanding qualities of the previous ones we bought.

the real test came when we had work done on the outside of our house in very cold weather and the workers kept the carafe outside with them.

my only critique would be that the grey plastic piece used to house the control buttons is made from an inferior plastic that becomes brittle overtime and breaks.

it is drinkable, but at our house we prefer our coffee hotter.

i've had at least 5 of these at the various houses i've had and they all work great (i kept giving them away to the kids when i moved).

on a few occasions others in my household have accidentally put under-roasted (nearly green) beans in the capresso's bean reservoir, which caused the burr grinder to jam (not at all surprising).

but i could be crazy for paying this much for a coffee maker.having got the thing in my house and up and running, i think i made a good purchase.

i suppose the same people complaining about the price are running to coffee shops and spending $2-5 on one cup of coffee.
