we drink coffee at our house for hours so i was glad this one was made like the last one i had and didn't have the auto turnoff feature.
i also like the automatic shut off, that way i dont have to worry if i turned off the machine after i've left the house.
something relatively simple with a decent capacity as one cup of hot coffee for me equals about four cups as measured on the carafe.
i bought this for work and don't think it makes quite as good a cup as my more expensive cuisinart dcc1200 at home.
both though, brew very fast in comparison to other brands that i have used at work and at home.
bottom line -- i would recommend this coffeemaker to anyone needing a quiet, reliable, consistent kitchen appliance designed for this purpose, whether at home on on the road.
got it because the 3 men in our house couldn't remember to shut the old one off and we'd come home to burnt coffee pots at least weekly.
there are three people in my house who drink coffee, and not having a carafe sitting out getting cold or smashing when trying to clean it is really helpful.
i first saw this product when i came home on leave from the middle east and went to my parents house.
always had a coffee maker with a carafe, untill i went to a friends house & she had this.
everyone who comes to my house wants one.
i can make one cup of freshly brewed coffee in less than 2 minutes.
is it really that crazy of an idea to have a cheap coffee maker that can make only the one cup you want to drink?
it's so nice to just make one cup of coffee or tea instead of a whole pitcher!
i ordered this one cup coffee maker and love it.
i have had this unit now for 3 months it brews an excellent single cup of coffee, better than a keruig or senseo both of which i also own.
in fact i use my old mr coffee carafe ( that has the wide opening ) and removed the little rubber stop inside the basket holder since i don't use the pause & serve feature ) and for my personal use i
friends went out and purchased this pot based on the coffee they had at my house!
i like the traditional coffee makers, but my wife prefers one less clock in the house.
at home i brew on the stove in a farberware classic yosemite stainless steel percolator, but i need an electric percolator for work.
i also like the auto shut off feature since there are multiple coffee drinkers in the house i don't have to worry about someone leaving it on.
i use the cups to make a single serving, works great and coffee is still hot when i arrive at work 10 minutes away.
the carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours, which is nice for those lazy weekend days at home!
i love the options of brewing into one cup, two, or into the carafe.
this is truly a coffeemaker that would suit anyones needs from the person on the go to the individual serving at home.
(i'm in this situation because my beloved krups finally went and the current models aren't as good as the older ones!) fyi, if you're a one-cup a morning coffee drinker and don't need to brew larger
some spilled on the floor, and my dog took a taste before running outside and gulping down all of the snow in front of the house.
this coffee maker is the best one that i have ever owned!
one downside - clock reset itself each time you unplug it, and manufacturer do not recommending to keep it plugged in.
and does not drip..unlike others i have tried (no more coffee spills on the counter or tablecloth).the coffee maker also can make 12 cups so you can brew enough for 5 or 6 people at one time.
i had been given the matching turquoise toaster originally, and loved it...so when my old coffeemaker broke, i decided to splurge and get this one, even though it is bigger than i needed...and it
this is a more expensive coffee maker than one might find at stores like bed bath & beyond or linens and things and also department stores ...
i searched on line for a replacement coffeemaker since i couldn't find one locally.
the brew selection feature was new to me so the first pot was a little strong - dialed it down one notch and was perfect.
after my mr coffee leaked all over my counter for the umpteenth time, i decided it was time to get a new one.
the entire unit is light and flimsy-feeling (it moves every time you press one of the buttons on the front), and it's nearly impossible to load it with water without spilling the contents of the
we have one both at work and at home and we love it.
with a little attention to detail, you can have great coffee in either one cup, two cups or a whole pot.
something that i could either brew a single cup for my self, or a larger portion when entertaining.
the problem is that the "happy coffee sound" could be heard all over the house, and it was loud enough to wake the kids in the morning.
machine about 2.5 months ago and have yet to make an undrinkable cup of coffee -- whether i am making my usual 4 cups or when i get adventuresome and make up to ten for a caffenated day at home.
this is fine at two coffee drinkers in the home, but w/ company in, i've just made less than a full pot to create a coffee as strong as we like; this means a second pot must be brewed for a larger
as of today, two hours has passed and i still only have one cup out of it.
i purchased the michael graves machine about 2.5 months ago and have yet to make an undrinkable cup of coffee -- whether i am making my usual 4 cups or when i get adventuresome and make up to ten for
i needed the auto shut off, i've come back to the house a few times to check the coffee pot.
which someone always manages to do in our house and finding a replacement pot is nearly impossible.
i like the idea of dispensing piping hot coffee one cup at a time (my kitchen aid didn't really keep my coffee hot, till it scorched the last cup or so of coffee), but the design and features of this
the convenience of one cup at a time dispensing is just right for the two of us.
