it has great features (the programmer, the size that you can make, the carbon filter, just everything!!) my favorite part about this coffee maker is that you can serve single cup servings every time
it also features the auto shut-off which can be programmed for 2-4 hours....i prefer 4 hours, which is especially good if one person wakes up earlier than another in the home....and because the
for a one person household, the ease of this coffee maker can't be beat.
i work at home and only get a cup of coffee every so often.
what's great about it:?one cup of coffe at a time no burning what's not so great:?stopped working "i had the same problem as others.
however, i have not been to his house to see it yet, i was a little concerned about it being a factory reconditioned unit, but i have been told that it is a very nice looking unit and that the coffee
the coffee maker fills the bill for a busy household with both early and late risers, it's ready when you get up and no one gets cold coffee.
my husband loves his coffee; and, this is the best household use coffee maker we have owned.
this coffee maker makes the hottest and most delicious coffee i have ever had at home.
i wanted a thermos that held 12 cups which i need when i have house guests.
really good cup of coffee you either have to go to a coffee shop and pay for it (and often i find their beans much inferior to the ones i use) or put up with the inconvenience of the home machines.
i can say i have encountered *no* problems with this coffee maker - i like it so much i just bought another one for my in-laws as a housewarming gift.
i like strong coffee, so by trial and error, i have ended up buying strong starbucks coffee beans, put the setting on strong on the coffee maker, and i set the grind control 1-2 cups more than the
one person commented on the fact that if you put 8 cups of water in but set it to 6 cups, it will still make 8 cups.
this is one complex system and if you're planning on having housegests it likely will save some time to run through how to work the thing before they try to figure it out.
the amount of coffee you get and the amount it says is one cup will be different.
one of my objections to perked coffee is there was often some sediment in the coffee.
we already had one and wanted another for when we need to make more coffee.
this one does.
this one is no exception.
one suggestion i would have for this product is that it would be much easier to tell how much water is in it if it had a gauge on the outside rather than the difficult-to-see inside ladder guage.
i like it so much i will purchase one for my mother this year for christmas.
improvements that could be made--i wish it had a removable reservoir, but the one pot that i have used that had that feature made the worst coffee i've ever made at home, not to mention the leaky pot.
however this coffee pot is not one of them.
we've gone through a few coffee makers and this one is by far the best one.
there is no need to stop at a coffee shop in the morning when you can make a cup just as good at home.i purchased my coffee maker 2 months ago and absolutely love it!
i love how the coffee pot can be set, so in the morning, the entire house smells like freshly brewed coffee.
i first used it at my brother's house and fell in love with it.
everyone that comes to my house and has coffee always comments on how wonderful it is!
it took awhile to get used to all the parts (i'm not too crazy about the design of the coffee filter/lid), but it was definitely worth the money to have the smell of fresh coffee fill the house every
u nlike most coffee makers, it brews a single cup really well, the coffee comes out with a perfect smooth flavor.
i use it for a single cup and it works great.
it makes a single cup just as well as two cups.
i had purchased 2 of the black and decker pod single cup makers from walmart.com.
since i am the only coffee drinker at home (my wife prefers tea), i find the option to brew just one cup extremely useful, not to mention the convinience of being able to brew directly into any cup
Over the three years, it may have been used a normal households year an a half with only one coffee drinker.
Only (& irredeemable) problem is: Every single cup tastes like stainless steel!
I recommend this machine if you're not easily frustrated by household items that need a special touch or just seem to have a mind of their own.
(Note this is not the coffee maker I would choose for my home use that is when I want the frills.
We are at least a 2 pot per morning household.
However, for a household that brews several pots of coffee a day and likes a good, rich, bold cup of coffee, the Cuisinart Grind & Brew is a poor choice.
So it's back to straightforward French coffee presses for this household - and (Joy!) finally a decent cup of coffee.
Unfortunately, the horrendously loud grinder would wake the whole household and seemed to take forever to dribble out a small pot of coffee.
-You can also manually grind the night before if someone in household is sensitive to the grinder noise in the morning.
weaknesses: no way to turn off loud beep when it's done brewing--not good if you're making coffee when someone else in the house is asleep.
keeps coffee hot, long enough for our household to go through a pot in the morning.
actually this is the third one we have purchased as we got a second one for our lake house.
although it may be the starbuck's houseblend beans i use, everyone who tastes my coffee says it's wonderful.
i love it, coffee never tastes burned and i never have to worry if i "turned the coffeemaker off" when i leave the house!
