it makes absolutely the best coffee i've ever had at home--hot, great flavor, not a lot of work to get there.
the design of this unit requires the ground coffee to travel only about one inch from the mouth of the grinder through a sloped chute before it drops into the filter basket.
if possible get it off the burner as soon as it is finished brewing and transfer the coffee to a thermal carafe or your travel mug.
i was a little disappointed that it wasn't 12-cup, but really 1-2 cups of water sit below the filter in the bottom of the reservoir.
i had enjoyed coffee made with fresh ground beans using a burr grinder at a friends house, so i decided to find a coffee maker that combined the grinder with the coffee maker.

I agree it is small but perfect for one cup of coffee. Thats its only flaw. The coffe tases great and no grounds are left in the coffee. My husband loves coffee with cream and sugar but he said it
this one replaced a burnt-out expresso machine for 1/10 the price, and it's unbreakable, too.
he is very happy with this coffee press, he says that it is an excellent product.

this coffee press is great!it is so easy to clean, i love not having to worry about it breaking, and it is very light weight.
i am not a regular coffee drinker, but when i do drink it, i like the good stuff, that is coffee made with a french press.
if you are new to french press coffee, it's definitely much smoother tasting than out of a drip machine.
very useful for a household with only one coffee drinker
this coffee maker is perfect for the single- household or the one person coffee drinker.
this is one of the few pots that uses cone filters (#2) which i believe brews better in small pots.
lots of microwave action for second cups with that one.
the new delonghi 4 cup i just bought is not as good as the old one i had.
I have owned it for several months and about once a week, the filter folds over during the brewing process and all the coffee grounds go to the pot.
However the glass coffee carafe spills coffee everywhere if you don't pour it very very very slowly.
Pros: Price
i did, however, experience a small amount of coffee spilling out of the carafe while pouring.
the second one works fine.
for the price, it is a very nice machine.doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but a good one to start off with.it does what it is designed to do, although, i wish i could see the water container
they replace it with an other one.
great tasting coffee and one cup at a time.
I've owned a number of Krups products, including a 17 year old steam espresso maker, and over the years have been consistently very pleased with the design, quality and reliability of the Krups
i saw on the mr coffee site the machine also comes in red but i couldn't find one to buy.
this machine brews coffee so much faster than my other ones and the biggest bonus is the coffee is hot!
coffee for a new one.
absolutely one of the best designs i've ever seen - kudos to the designer!!!!
coffeemakers and have been pleased with every one.
this coffee maker is the best one that i have ever owned!
one downside - clock reset itself each time you unplug it, and manufacturer do not recommending to keep it plugged in.
and does not drip..unlike others i have tried (no more coffee spills on the counter or tablecloth).the coffee maker also can make 12 cups so you can brew enough for 5 or 6 people at one time.
i had been given the matching turquoise toaster originally, and loved it...so when my old coffeemaker broke, i decided to splurge and get this one, even though it is bigger than i needed...and it
this is a more expensive coffee maker than one might find at stores like bed bath & beyond or linens and things and also department stores ...
the amount of coffee you get and the amount it says is one cup will be different.
one of my objections to perked coffee is there was often some sediment in the coffee.
we already had one and wanted another for when we need to make more coffee.
this one does.
this one is no exception.
with this one, you need as much water as you can possibly get, because it drips water everywhere.
of course my best recommendation is a rancilio silvia for home (friend has one) but it is labour intensive, have to wait for the boiler to heat up after pulling your shot...
i have been making them for 3 years with our current saeco machine with a delightful crema on each one.
1.there is only one boiler for both espresso and steam.
Great cup of Espresso, IF, you use good coffee not the PODs and make sure that you clean off the machine on a regular basis.
it was inexpensive and brewed 2-4 cups which is perfect for one person.
we purchased this for our camper.
i love the smallness of this unit, particularly as i am the only coffee-drinking person in the household!
when we realized how much of a mess it created to make a couple cups of coffee, we put our house coffee maker in the camper.
additionally, when i stay at hotels, i keep the mini coffee filters supplied with the room and use them in this pot at home.
we are very pleased with the quality of the coffee, and especially happy that it stays fresh and hot for longer in the carafe, so if one person wakes up early he/she can make coffee for both people
we needed a coffee maker for our second home so i wanted to try one that had a bean grinder.
only negative is, it is a pricey coffee maker, but a great one.
* i wish i had ordered at least one extra goldtone filter; it clearly won't last forever.
cleaning this coffeemaker sets it apart from its peer all-in-ones.
After reading all the reviews we decided to purchase this coffee maker.
How in the world did I ever get along camping all these years without this coffee maker?
I recently purchased this coffee maker for car camping/mountain biking trips around Wisconsin.
I used this for a week on a Coleman Road Trip Grill with the Stove Grate accessory.
This coffee maker makes coffee just as good or better than the one we have at home.
it makes pretty good coffee but i have had my mind set on a new single cup model that uses both grind coffee as well as pods.
so far its been a real good coffee pot have had no problems leaking makes very good coffee, best one that i've found and i've been through alot of coffee pots.
ok, this coffee maker is not the one i own, but it's pretty similar it is the same only black.
a nice coffee maker for the money.
Although looks good and brews great coffee, the cord is half the length of most coffeemakers, greatly limiting where it can be set up on the counter.
somehow, this little product is more convenient than using your coffee maker for one cup of coffee.
the fact that it really only gives him one satisfactory cup of coffee is okay with him because the coffee is always hot and fresh.
one caveat for those that like boiling hot coffee, you'll need to put it back in the microwave (in your original cup of course).
it makes the perfect one mug of coffee for me on days that i only allow myself one cup.
i love that the little rubber boot, which is apparantely not microwaveable according to one unfortunate reviewer, comes off so i can sit it directly on the burner of a bunn coffee maker for quick
he says it's much better for one person than the larger coffee maker he used to have.
this actually has been my favorite coffee maker i've had in years...it outworks any of the other expensive bigger ones i've owned too!
coffee drx5-gtf, basically the same model as this one, lasted only 2 years under hard water conditions and some poor treatment (it got banged up a bit and sat on the kitchen floor collecting dust for

For the most part I only like 1-2 cups of coffee a couple times a week and got tired of throwing out the coffee in my old melita drip coffeemaker.
It's been 3 weeks since we bought this machine.
So far this is the best coffee machine I ever bought.
This is a great machine, but I have had a minor problem with the espresso/cappuccino button sticking at times.
This machine is a very good coffee maker.
I have made 12 pots of coffee and this is a wonderful unit, a big improvement over the earlier model.
I have returned 2 within 1 week, such as heat plate not working, grinder not working.
