We are very happy with this purchase. KA pro line delivers quality, also have burr grinder and espresso machine. The reason (I think) that there is not a "stop to pour a cup of coffee before it finishes" is that it changes the pot of coffee if you do that. from Cooking.com We have owned a lot of Kitchen Aid products and purchased this coffee maker when we found out Pro Line offered one. But for the price paid, I would expect a carafe that doesn't leak. KitchenAid would be wise to redesign the carafe.
