From the time I began drinking coffee in college, I always found drip coffee to be a bit thin and unsatisfying, but that's what was out there so I never thought to question it. Until one day, about 5 years ago, my drip pot broke. While shopping for another one I found the electric Bodum Santos (now sold exclusively by Starbucks under a different name.) It made the best tasting coffee: full of flavor, body and so smooth! I couldn't believe the difference. from Cooking.com Product performs as advertised and as expected. Comparable to Starbucks "Barista" coffee maker as to coffee quality; however. the Bodum Stovetop Vacuum coffee maker is 1/3 the cost, is still easily available.
