at first i got scared as it was dripping down the front of the pot until i reallized i had not put the gold coffee filter back in after washing all the parts.

i did not have a drip or leak problem and one reviews said and the parts are plastic so some care has to be taken but they are not better or worse that any other coffee maker i have seen.

as regards the above person who had breakage, capresso is very helpful about sending replacement parts, but the brewing dribbles is a design flaw and cannot be fixed by another coffee basket.
