we used to own a braun coffee maker with a timer, and it worked well for us for many years.

the only knock i have, (and it is my fault, not brauns) is if you get coffee grounds in between the coffee maker and the basket, it will clog, and coffee will go everywhwere.

the reason i didn't give it 5 stars is that it still does not make coffee quite as strong as my previous braun, which died.

this braun works great, makes great coffee and is easy to use.

so instead, i went with this braun machine (in white, which complements my kitchen) and have been very pleased with it for the two weeks i've had it.
