Best Bodum Coffee Makers for French Press

i would recommend the bodum new kenya 17-ounce coffee press.

both, like the other bodum coffee presses, make a great cup of coffee, so if you have never tried coffee made this way, i would recommend getting one of the new kenya models while amazon has them at

i purchased this 17-ounce bodum new kenya french press specifically to prepare my yerba mate tea.

one drawback is that in order to get this fullness, the coffee needs to steep a few minutes, (bodum recommends 4) and in that time, in a typical uninsulated french press, the coffee cools down a bit.

this pot really only makes one large cup of coffee (bodum's idea of a "cup" is only 4 ounces).

if you go on bodums website you can find this out, but i didn't know it until i went to their website to see how i screwed up.

i would heartily recommend this model of bodum for someone who would like to experience french press coffee at home, inexpensively.

i recently purchased this bodum 8-cup brazil french press and am very pleased with it's performance.

other reviews for other bodum presses complain about how easily the glass breaks.

i have a larger bodum stainless 12 cup press for company.

we've had the bodum young 34 ounce coffee press for about a month (after being without one for about a year) and find it really serviceable.

have owned 2 other bodum coffee presses and love them, but i think they have gotten a little cheap with the plunger screen filter and the metal retaining disk.
