i have had a bodum coffee press for years.
the bodum press is bueatiful, durable and makes great coffee.
i have other styles and sizes of bodum coffee presses and always wished that they make a thermal one.

this product, along with my bodum assam tea press are the best purchases that i have made to date from amazon.
the bodum press is a refinement of the cowboy coffee brewing method, minus the campfire & straining it thru a sock.
i would heartily recommend this model of bodum for someone who would like to experience french press coffee at home, inexpensively.

one drawback is that in order to get this fullness, the coffee needs to steep a few minutes, (bodum recommends 4) and in that time, in a typical uninsulated french press, the coffee cools down a bit.
this pot really only makes one large cup of coffee (bodum's idea of a "cup" is only 4 ounces).
if you go on bodums website you can find this out, but i didn't know it until i went to their website to see how i screwed up.

(yet), the press itself comes apart on a semi-regular basis while pressing the coffee; this is due to bodum's use of a plastic "nut" to attach the shaft with the bottom portion of the press assembly.
