having owned a braun which...1) forced me to hold-down the button, 2) was much louder, 3) was not as durable, and 4) was much more expensive...i will never go back to the hold-it-yourself model.

3) the 'timer' (for lack of a better word) on the machine, is cheap and the grinder runs until the timer runs out, even if all the beans have been ground.
