i would imagine that any burr grinder would clog if beans that are too oily (french roast) or certain flavored beans are placed in it.

my grinder has been given beans from greasy, dark-roast beans to lighter roast and, other than keeping much of the oils of the beans on the plastic, handled them all well.

u can use greasy oily xtra bold beans, but after every few uses you have to take a tooth pick and clean the greasy bean residue out of the hole where the coffee comes out.
