we also notice that we can use a finer grind than with our previous grinder without clogging up the espresso maker, suggesting that the breville's grind is more uniform and consistent.

the capresso ground a bit finer - like into talcum powder fine - but going mainly on touch, this grinder managed a fine powder suitable for turkish, and obviously finer than espresso-grain.

i have read that serious espresso folks prefer a finer grind than this can provide but i'm not a barista, not yet atleast, so i'm loving it so far.

there are modifications you can make to get a finer grind but the design must have been updated as it provides an extremely fine grind at the finest setting.
