unlike the burr grinder it replaced, this grinder--like all the kitchenaid products i've encountered--is built to last.
i've had this kitchenaid grinder for about a month and am move than pleased with it.
machine is very quiet and efficient.i like the fact you can take the burrs apart for cleaning.i own another kitchen aid grinder and you cannot do this with this one.also it is much noiser than this
this is my third pro line product from kitchen aid and i have not been disapointed in any of them.
now with this fine kitchenaid product, i hope to use it for a very, very long time.
like all kitchenaid products, this burr coffee grinder reaks of quality and american craftsmanship.
when i read about the kitchenaid i decided to try it, even though it was expensive.
i do wish it had come with a little brush for cleaning out the area where the grinder sits, but i'll just pick up something like basting brush at a kitchen store.
i can happily report that it not only looks great on our kitchen counter but it also works like a charm.
have had this conical grinder about a month, use 2-3 times daily, and really can't remember the last time i have been as happy with a small kitchen appliance.
i will definitely consider breville when i make future coffee-related and other kitchen appliance purchases.
and, it is attractive sitting on my kitchen counter, in it's black plastic & brushed metal casing.
the first one is white and does daily duty in my kitchen, this black one i gave to my mother for mom's day.
there is a little bit of grinding dust that can get on my kitchen counter.
it was a bit larger than i had expected but it still looks great in my kitchen.
i know they do this for safety, but it's so short we had to get an extension cord just to be able to use the grinder on our kitchen cabinets.
i hadn't really planned on buying a grinder but i added this to an order so i could get the $25 house and kitchenwares discount and i'm glad that i did.
since access to our garage is through the kitchen, i just step out into the garage and run the grinder so i don't wake anyone up.
we have a cooking island counter in the kitchen, and can't use it.
just another piece to find a place for in the kitchen.
bought this originally to grind spice after watching america's test kitchen's recommendation- instead used it on a bag of coffee beans- and since it did such a fabulous job on that (fast and
it has resumed a prominent place in my kitchen, as i have discovered the joy of cooking fresh, organic food for my growing family.
i purchased this grinder 2 months ago to replace my second burned-out kitchen aid coffee mill/grinder.
the brushed chrome body and clear acrylic top give it a contemporary feel in the kitchen.
it is a wonderful product and its appearance is so professional, you will be delighted in placing it in your counter at your kitchen.
attractive enough so that we keep it displayed on the kitchen counter rather than hiding it in a cupboard.
i have arranged my kitchen so that the grinder is 8 feet away from the sink, so it is easier on my ears while i ready the pot.
my only complaints are that it is noisier than the kitchen aid (not really a complaint--i expect a grinder to be noisy) and the static electricity build up on the plactic cup.
in order to not awaken others in the house, i often carry the machine from the kitchen to the garage and place it on a foam pad then wrap the coffee grinder in a large blanket before turning it on.
the hamilton beach custom grinder has evolved into a well-designed, useful small appliance in our kitchen, as we grind out own coffee beans daily it is sturdy, the start latch is easy to engage, and
it matches my coffee pot too (bonus)will see if it holds up to my busy use of the grinder for all of my kitchen needs.
the appearance is complimentary to kitchens, it's simple to use, the beans are ground to specification, and the clean up is easy.
as stated in the review title - it is gnarly loud (at least, mine is), so much so that i started placing it on a flat oven-mitt on the kitchen counter and use another oven-mitt to completely cover it
after the death of my favorite grinder (kitchenaid mill) i was decided to see what was out there that would not cost me $150.
my old kitchen aid a9 worked for over 15 years.
just unwrap it, and you get an avarage kitchen appliance cord length!
the cord is short but it's not a problem in our kitchen.
i wanted a grinder that wouldnt get grinds all over the kitchen just for a cup of coffee.
i'd love to spend $130 for the kitchenaid kpcg100er pro line burr coffee grinder, empire red, but that combined with the money i already spent on my espresso machine would likely be a bit much for my
i've found a kitchen towel underneath it keeps the noise level to an acceptable level.
i am so tired of over-priced kitchen gadgets which don't do their job.
i looked at the expensive ones like the kitchenaid and others, and the reviews were really hot or cold, confusing to say the least.
if you find you have a small kitchen like i do, you may need to pick something else smaller.
the neighbors probably though i was remodeling the kitchen.
