Whole wheat ground in this unit at the finest setting comes out as grits, definitely not whole wheat flour.

in the pamphlet it says to use this only for coffee beans, but i can't have wheat gluten and am looking for a cheap(er) source of rice flour.

After having ground Hard Red Winter Wheat (not fine enough for pastry flour, but pretty fine), Navy Beans, Black Beans, Soy Beans, Lentils and other small beans or grains, this mill has held up quite well.
